In my opinion and experience, this judge did not study the facts or question the veracity of the facts presented. If you present an emotional case that appeals to her emotions---especially if you are man whom she finds appealing---you win!

Lisa Foster does not deserve to be a judge. I am a serving member of the military and hold the highest level of clearances, and undergo regular background investigations. My ex-husband forged my signature on his immigration papers and then emailed me stating he only married me for resident status. He then emptied my bank account of over $80,000 and stole my home business computer and everything I had created for my home business. In court despite having a expert witness which Lisa Foster mandated testify on my behalf, he threw out his testimony and made a judgement claiming I was the one that was not believable and made me pay him sanctions! If you are a woman and want a fair trial....run! Do whatever you can to get a different judge to hear your case. I sat in a few of her other cases and she always ruled in favor of the guy regardless of the evidence! Honorable my...@$$

Lisa Foster's choices in my Family Court Case were egregious.

Husband divorced me during adult aged offspring's 2d year of college and college age.
At that time, first Judge told husband "NO MORE DEBT."
The following year, I refused to sign for a student loan for our 20 year old child because the first judge said "No" and also because we were bifurcated. I refused to accept that debt. I kept telling ex "NO"
Then Ex lied and told Lisa a bull story. That completely misstated dates and facts.

But Lisa said I was responsible for the debt husband took out for adult age child for the two years we were separated but not divorced AND ALSO for the debt he took out after the bifurcation and for our ADULT aged offspring. Lisa had all the paperwork dates and the facts in the paperwork to clearly disprove the claims of the ex. But She never looked and measured it.

Lisa was the divorce judge in my case. She did not consider my rights. She treated me like a criminal, and my husband like a hero.
For example, my husband told Lisa that I was manic. He provided no evidence. When I wanted the marriage therapist to testify to refute his assertion, husband refused to sign off on the therapist testifying. But Lisa readily believed husband.
Husband said he was paying $81,000++ on my credit card. What he did not tell the Judge was that credit card was the only way I had to pay for food, md's dentists, prescriptions for myself and all the children. He pocketed the entire paycheck of $30,000++ amonth and he kept 6 or 7 secret credit card sent to his office. He had no underlying documentation either. The credit card statements he presented to the court were blank, except for a dollar amount total. He said it, so she believed him. She did not seem to entertain the argument that he might take the income and spend it all on himself to impact her decision. Or even that he alone ran up all that debt doing what he wanted.
I believe she creams her pants over certain men who are lawyers and becomes incapable of critical reasoning or doing fair and rational thought.

Expert testified husband made $30,000+ A MONTH. Lisa decided it was $29,000. and then she said I got $5,500 a month of it as spousal support. And that since the husband's credit card debt equaled the equity in the house (how coincidental) that the house must be sold to pay that debt. AND Lisa never questioned that the house was falling down and there were not savings accounts, or other assets.
She also determined that the $3,700 a month payment to me and the nearly $30,000 a month that the first judge said husband could keep to pay credit card bills, did not constitute that first judge saying husband was paying the credit cards for both of us.

I believe Lisa demonstrates that she is not capable of detached rational thought. I found her to be a dimwitted, unfair and inequitable judge. This was divorce court. It apparently did not occur to her that husband might want to use the court to harm me. She carried out husband's agenda and has hugely harmed me.

If you yearn for justice, then this is not your judge.
She has no head for business.
Do your recall that her father ultimately ran Ratner's, her grandfather's business, into extinction? Yes.
Well she is worse for the financial health of a community. Whether she is in Family Court, Civil Court or Criminal Court--she has no sense of the bigger picture.

Lisa Foster should not be a judge. She has experts give testimony and she ignores it. Her personal prejudices and preconceived notions about business rule her opinions. She has no discretion. Spoiled rich daughter of a man who destroyed a business, she cannot inculcate tax consequences in any of her thinking. And she ignores the opinions of the experts. She particularly destroyed my life in Family Court. She impoverished me. Gave my ex husband 80% of his annual $340,000 income. Gave me 19%. And then did not take into account that he gets to deduct every penny he pays me off the top of his income, as spousal support. Lisa essentially made divorce a lucrative financial scheme for my ex-husband. He ran up huge credit card debt and then asked her to sell our home to pay the debt. And Lisa gave the attorney everything he wanted. EVERYTHING< Impoverished me. Made my life a financial hardship and enriched my ex. She is a disaster.

Run her out of office. Please, Do not re-elect her a Judge. Please. She is the worst jurist. EVER.
My husband divorced me after 27 years of marriage. He secretly ran up $450,000 in credit card debt which he had sent to his office. I was a stay at home mom. Court found husband made $340,000 a year. Lisa gave me $5,500 a month, plus said our one asset--the family home --must be sold to pay husband's debts. Lisa made me pay 1/2 of husband's $450,000 credit card bills with that $5,500 a month she gave me. Her reasoning? She did not want to be unfair to my husband!!! Honestly. Lisa Foster cannot reason. She is the personification of stupid and unfair.

In my experience as a litigant, I was dissatisfied with her judgment skills. To me, she proved she was afraid to: make decisions when she was in unknown territory, and to use the special powers of the court to correct her own mistakes previously recognized by her (and which otherwise would have saved a substantial amount of court time, money and emotional distress on my side). After 1 and a half years of substantial litigation, upon her re-assignment to a different department,Judge Foster also "overlooked" her duty to rule and send the ruling through the mail (as decided by herself at court hearing), leaving us to the mercy of a new judge, to retry previously long-heard matters. Just when we all thought we were over and waiting for the ruling to arrive for two months. It was a nightmare! I

Lisa Foster is unfair, lazy and has the IQ of a doorknob. Know she cannot do simple arithmetic, much less complex calculations. She cannot discern the liar. She does not use all the evidence and then reason. She cannot wrap her limp brain around the complex. Know she favors litigants who look like her husband. Know she does not intellectually earn her past---she bought it with daddy's money. Beware of her.
