With all due respect, Judge James Robertson II needs to be up to date with the law; he constantly lacks citing numerous Civ. Codes and/or law statutes.
He will admit and consider evidence and/or testimony totally irrelevant to the case. For example, if the Plaintiff (Asian) sued in Small Claims for property damage and the Defendant (White) states that the devil told him to do so, Judge Robertson II will judge in the defendant’s favor. He will not consider the Plaintiff’s evidence (i.e., videos, police reports, witnesses, etc.) because (1) the judge is racist, (2) the judge is too old, (3) the judge needs to be educated.
I truly believe that he needs to step down from his position, as he is causing more harm than good towards our society.

I lied in court and told this guy I didn't remember paying my own bill with my own check and he believed me and ruled in my favor for more than 4 grand. Gullible!!

Comment #: CA10906
He was the most bias person I have every come across. He should be charged with judicial misconduct. He contacted our Attorney to assist the plaintiffs not for clarification as he suggested and his his recent ruling caused the death of an elderly woman. He ruled she should be evicted with out notice she was and she died

Refreshing. A judge who is still about justice. He truly wanted to get to the merits of the case. He is courteous to all. He would not let the lawyers bully him.

It's time for him to go. He cannot handle complex issues; he falls back on his background; defense of civil litigation.

I heard good things about Robertson, but maybe he's aged out of his reputation. He is totally unpreprared, has to read cases from the bench to understand the issues, and is chronically unable to rule. He waffles on even the simplest issues, hearing and even considering argument that is contrary to black letter law. He has a very hard time trimming away b.s. and takes hours of argument on what should be simple issues. I got the sense his clerk had to tell him which way he shoudl rule.

My experience was with Judge Robertson as a settlement judge. He works incredibly hard, no matter how challenging the case. He is a lovely person and a credit to the bench.

This judge is one of the fairest on the bench. I have appeared before him many times and it is always a pleasure. He reads and understands the paperwork, engages counsel in questions to sort out issues, and is always respectful to the parties and counsel. And, where appropriate, he is also not afraid to rule against the State. Judge Robertson is a judge's judge. One of the best judges on the bench!
