This judge should have been held accountable for young Alycia Mesiti-Allen's sexual torture, inhuman and degrading treatment, and the US' definition of torture as well, "Cruel and Unusual" -- estranging her from the protective mother who loved her and feared for her life!! Put him in prison and let the inmates take care of him PLEASE.

Heard about this judge's decision to place a child away from her mother and with a straight up criminal child predator! The father drugged and raped his daughter and killed her and buried her body in his back yard. Judge's should do better for kids safety in family court. This broke my heart! Shame on that judge for siding with t he criminal father over her mother and look what happened a pure evil tragedy!

Below 0, as a judge and a human being. My family, and especially my niece are still living through hell because he negligently and indifferently sent 2 children to live with their substance-abusing, convicted felon, and perpetrator of Domestic violence "father," who finally peaded guilty on Oct. 3 to murdering our beloved Alycia in 2006. This judge should never again be allowed to make a life-impacting decision for any child or abused parent.

What a useless judge to give custody of a girl to a drug dealing, child pornographer

Another Santa Clara COunty judge who consistently fails to provide equal protection for women and children. He took a child from a pro per mom and gave the child to the dad ( with a record ) who drugged , raped and killed the daughter, Chiarello didn't; seem to care. He routinely harms women in rulings and has no financial acumen.

Witnessed him in court telling prosecutors that it wouldn't matter if a witness was brought in recanting their story, it wouldn't bring the offer down any. A judge's duty is to oversee and apply the appropriate laws, it is not to give his opinion on what the DA should hand out as far as plea bargains. I thought it to be completely unprofessional.

Nice guy. Of course, nobody likes to go before a judge, and at the time I was in his court, I was a scared shitless 18 year old with no prior record accused of petty theft. His Honor simply told me he hoped I never did this again, and gave me a fine of $150 without probation and wished me luck in my future endeavors. : )
