My family law case got transferred to Judge Jacobson when my previous judge was reassigned to different division of the court. I'd filed a motion for a modification of the existing shared custody court order. Judge Jacobson glanced at the order and said on the record, "I see you have shared custody. I don't believe in shared custody." If you get assigned this judge, you should seriously consider making a peremptory challenge under California Code of Civil Procedure ยง 170.6. Hopefully you'll get a judge who believes in shared custody.

If I could give this guy 100 negative stars I would. Judge Jacobson handed 3 kids over from a safe parent to a meth addict who was charged with a bunch of crimes including child porn. The abuser plead guilty to some of the other charges. So sad that because of this thick headed judge we have 3 innocent kids growing up in a household with several meth smokers and porn and other garbage strewn about.

Absolutely disgusting miscarriage of justice.

170.6 this guy if he gets assigned to your case!
