If I could give her a zero, I would. She can't seem to apply the law properly to save her life. She makes up "facts" that are not supported anywhere in the record (i.e. they didn't happen). She makes calculations based on figures from a decade ago instead of the time of the hearing. She writes terrible orders that make no sense and leave parties in limbo. She does nothing to lawyers/parties who don't disclose properly, and does nothing to promote the lawyers working together. Nasty attorneys get away with murder in her courtroom. I think there are some backroom deals going on...and it's not just me. Everyone who has read the orders has suggested there is something untoward going on.

Absolutely bias and abusive in her judicial power....denying motions prematurely but allowing the other side their opportunity first on the basis that I do what she ordered without jurisdiction. As I create this comment I hope to intentionally manifest her removal of office as it does not serve to protect and uphold our rights as a People. Demand any and every public officials oath of office and bond information! I bet they'll hold you in higher regard!

After reading previous reviews, I was a little concerned having Judge Grohs assigned to my divorce case, however I found her to be attentive and fair in court and most importantly, she did what was in the best interest of my boys. That’s really the only thing that mattered to me as a mother. I think that most people only take the time to leave negative reviews but I felt that Judge Grohs deserved a positive review for how she handled my case. She saw through the bs that my ex and his lawyer were trying to pull and did what was right for the children. In a divorce there are no winners but Judge Grohs made sure that the final order was equitable and restored my faith in the family court system.

Sad to read the previous comments and also live the same pain they have went through. I am surprised she is still a Judge. Nothing has changed. She let my ex run a circus in her court room with outlandish false allegations. Did not seem she has reviewed or even given three seconds to our divorce case. Definitely made sure we knew we had made her late for a prior engagement on a Wednesday night. Even though she allowed my ex’s council to continue for three hours on nonsense while I had maybe, close to an hour. Long story short, her decision was pre-determined before our Final Orders; for the father (an alcoholic, angry, abusive, non-responsible, not dealing w/his mental illnesses, alienating the children (reinforced by court appointed therapists), hasn’t followed one court order (been warned by a prior judge for contempt), accusing everyone is a liar and out to get him person/parent to have full custody of two young men’s future lives.

No common sense. Judging is a tough job. But Judge Grohs ignored repeated proven instances of perjury by my ex, ignored all evidence of my ex's atrocious behavior, made up her mind before even hearing all testimony, and disregarded the law in her rulings. Ex played the entitled victim, and the judge, rather than seeing through the act, bought it hook, line, and sinker, doing unfathomable damage to our children in the process. It was as if Judge Grohs were retaliating against some unresolved issue in her personal past. Very disappointing.

No common sense. She buys emotionally, she does not stop to understand the reasoning of what causes grandparents to get upset when their grandchildren are being abused. In our case, my son-in-law car sales manager for the local KIA dealership -Steven Robert Krohn - sold her the color she wanted but she never made the effort to "look under the hood or check out the details of the high priced financing" that was sold to her. She "bought a lemon" and our grandchildren and my wife and I will have to pay for her lack of common sense ! This was not justice. This was an emotional woman who decided her case on emotion - not the facts and the reason for the hearing before her - AND CERTAINLY NOT IN ANY INTEREST OF THE GRANDCHILDREN WE WERE FIGHTING TO HELP !

There are no grandparent rights for visitation in Colorado even though they say there are. If the parent is considered "fit" you will lose but if your strategy is to expose "unfitness" you will also lose. Obviously if you are going to lose either way, you would not go to court in the first place. But, this is the way this woman runs her courtroom. Court is by Lawyers, for Lawyers.

I agree with the previous comment. She's dangerously negligent and seems to be intent on righting what she perceives as past wrongs.
My ex-husband is has been convicted of Domestic Violence, has spent time in jail for stalking me, has twice been commited in mental institutions and has admitted to emotionally and verbally abusing our son.

He's been found in Contempt of Court MANY MANY times - and doesn't pay Child Support AT ALL unless its garnished from his wages.

Now that my son is 14 and doesn't require daycare, my ex-husband is trying to get custody so that he doesn't have to pay Child Support.

Deborah Grohs is encouraging this to happen - She overturned a previous Court Order stating that my ex-husband is not capable of making decisions in the best interest of our son. Her reasoning.....I'm just a "rock star" when it comes to my commitment and she feels that my ex-husband is getting walked over in that regard.

My son has some special needs and also DOES NOT want to spend time with his Dad. After hearing testimony from my sons therapist - that it's not in the best interest to have 50/50 parenting time - Deborah Grohs listened to this sociopath (me ex-husband) cry saying that he wants to be involved with our sons life and then ORDERED me to attend counceling with my ex-husband.

He had himself committed for wanting to KILL ME!!!!! He was committed for telling our son (3 years old) that he was going to kill himself. He's never dated, never moved on and she's ordering me to go to counceling with him??????

As long as there are attorneys who are willing to lie for money - Deborah Grohs will be there to let them get away with it.

Maybe after this psycho kills me, someone will finally look into Deborah Grohs. She's an idiot.

Just my opinion, but this Judge has spent her first two years on the bench trying to make up for what she believes are past injustice while she was a defense attorney. She has shown to continuously let violent ans sexual offenders off, has ignored District Attorney, Probation Officers and treatment providers when sentencing offenders. Colorado Springs is not safe with this Judge on the bench. She recently blamed the victim of a sexual assault for causing her own assualt. DO NOT RETAIN this judge. If you don't believe me, hang out in her court room, Div 18 any day and you'll see what I mean.

This is a new judge who has no idea what it's about. She can't even read a statute and follow the law. Hopefully she will learn in time.
