Judge LaBuda was very biased on family law decisions. Made remarks in Final Hearing that Intervenor provided little evidence of bind with child. Father was a fit parent. And then awarded intervenor with custody of the grandchild. Also imposed conditions that violated Fathers ADA (forced him to use a notebook,when she acknowledged he had a disability with writing). Claimed that fathers evidence of a recording of intervenor was unlawful as she didn’t know she was being recorded making harmful statements. No! This was intervenors own evidence when she recorded herself! Major mistakes.

In family court she is overtly biased, does not acknowledge credentials of those whose views she opposes. She has been challenged openly in court regarding her biases and outright favoritism for one party. Her rulings have had deleterious and long lasting damages to children and families. Ignorance about the nuances in family systems, outright ignoring or dismissing of multiple professionals, should disqualify her from family court, if not entire judgeship.

LaBuda is Biased, extremely prejudiced, discriminating, rules from the bench while perjured his oath of office while under color of law. Has little or no regard for parity, law, or constitutions. Practices treason and should not only be removed from the bench but also disbarred. LaBuda issued a warrant for an unlawful arrest based on lies perpetrated by 3 police officers, in spite of evidence and proof (4 eye witnesses and even including police body cam footage) to the contrary. Collusion and conspiracy to continue a false arrest.

Judge LaBuda is very smart and hardworking. She makes sure she knows the case and the law. She has high standards and expects the lawyers who appear in front of her to be prepared. She can be a bit picky about minor rules and things which is why I did not rate her 100% -- sometimes you have to look at what the parties are trying to say, that is more important that rules. Otherwise she is great.

I completely trust her judgement. She works hard and tirelessly. She shows no favoritism to anyone, and gender does not factor into her decisions. She is an expert in every way on family law. She was an excellent lawyer an she has become an outstanding judge. People accustomed to favoritism and privilege may be dismayed when she applies the law equally to all.

Judge Judith Labuda smiled and nodded and confirmed towards my husband during his whole lying testimony. During my testimony she interrupted often to tell me not to answer until the question was finished. Not to answer until my attorney could object and to raise my voice and to move the microphone closer. She denied every objection but one, and sided with apposing council with absolute bias. She admitted she had not read the parental review report, but made rulings based on the report from snippets provided by the opposing council who providing out of context sentences in court. She completely did not understand the relationships the family history within our 30 year relationship nor did she pay any mind to the depths of destruction that was wracked by the respondent on the petitioner. She couldn't care less. You are doomed if you are in front of The Honorable Judith LaBuda in family court. Unless your a man, then you will do great. You will get everything you ask for and more.

She made an initial ruling that was contrary to the law and the evidence provided but before we'd all left the building she called us back to change the ruling. Still not entirely appropriate but better. She said that she realized she'd made a mistake and wanted to get it corrected before we all left the building, which she did. But what happens to mistakes she doesn't catch or a pro se doesn't know exist and therefore, can't call her on it?

My daughter and I were in this judge's courtroom during a juvenile court case day. I was really pleased with how concerned she was for our family, as well as her patience and humor combined with a level of firmness. I think she had a real impact on my daughter. I am in glad to have her in Boulder County.

She is arbitrary and capricious and seems to lack even a basic understanding of family law. It's a travesty that someone so utterly clueless and overtly hostile is permitted to remain on the bench.
