I have to agree with the first review. This judge lacks compassion and is not someone you would look up to at all. He is rather harsh. I don't know if he is religious, but that seems to explain a lot. I don't think I've ever seen him smile. It's too bad that Bronfin is no longer at the Denver courts, he was a really kind and decent judge and he was also extraordinarily fair- that was someone I really looked up to and admired. They need some new judges at Denver County Court.

I know many well respected attorneys and judges who hold Judge Hyatt in very high regard. In fact, Judge Hyatt is one of the most respected trial judges in the state of Colorado. His reputation is reflected in the survey results from his last judicial performance review for retention purposes. The survey results are available on the Colorado Judicial website.

This judge is very close-minded. He generally has his mind made up before the case even begins and there is no changing it - the entire trial is pointless as he already has his mind made up. He has a tendency to favor men over women and he is very poor in his behavior. He is also rather religious (which is part of his close-mindedness) and overall, he is not a very enlightened or developed human being.
