~I’ve never seen a more angry unfair biased Judge. She’s was rude and condescending. The power of her position makes her feel superior. A awful person and horrible Judge. It amazes me that she’s allowed to still preside over cases. A dangerous person to decide the fate of people accused of crimes. As her words stated when a client said not guilty, I beg to differ! What! She needs to be removed from the bench ASAP

If I could give a rating of less than '1', I certainly would. Whatever Maureen Keegan is, it is NOT an impartial administrator of justice. I have never seen a greater abuse of discretion by a Judge in my entire lifetime. How this woman holds herself out to be "fair" and "unbiased" is mind boggling. It is quite obvious I am not the only one who has been victimized by her complete disregard for the policies governing Judicial Conduct. She needs to be removed from the bench. She is a disgrace to the Connecticut Criminal Justice system, and to Catholics everywhere. I would ask that, if you too have been a victim of Judge Keegan's, and if you have not done so already, join me in filing a formal complaint against this monster. Judge Keegan operates under the assumption of guilty until proven innocent. She is a disgrace to the justice system and will have anyone not believe in fair and equal treatment. She will ruin a life without listening to reason like not a threat to community, no priors, holds down a fulltime job, goes to school. She will strip all of that away and put a person under house arrest in a state they don’t even live due to her lack of understanding. She’s to busy pushing paper to the clerks to even listen. Her mind is made up before entering court.
She states she is a woman of catholic faith - instead she’s the devil.

She is the most biased judge I have ever witnessed. She is rude to the defendants, puts the law in her own hands and it not even handed at all. I am surprised she is even given this honor to uphold the law as she completely fails in this regard.
A bail is posted and she completely ignores it without all the facts. Totally a miscarriage of justice to have her on the bench.

We the people have adopted a Innocent until proven guilty standard in the United States. However, Judge Keegan believes if charged, you are guilty. Was to go and blow away a person's life even if the facts that were not allowed to come out at pre-trial will prove otherwise. What a joke to the legal profession!

Evil takes on a new form in Maureen Keegan. When you have appointed counsel, or a Public Defender, it is usually because you cannot afford a private attorney. Whacking you (or a loved one [because you obviously cannot access your funds while in jail]) with thousands upon thousands of dollars in fees that you can't possibly afford? Real nice, Maureen. Must be a hell of a hoot for you to throw the book at the poverty stricken while you earn 170k a year to be a post-menopausal, condescending, haggard old witch.

Having read the comment posted by "Litigant" I cannot be in any more agreement. As a non-practicing trial attorney, I was warned about her,not only by other members of the Bar...but the entire courthouse staff...including two judges and just about every attorney who practices in G.A. 5. Talk a lack of judicial temperment! The buzz on any given day in the courthouse is "watch out, she's in one her moods today". Setting of bail? She does so on a whim...regardless of what the Bail Commissioner may recommend and counsel may argue. PTA? No way Jose. Never mind the guidelines (and the purpose of)for setting bail...it's let's see..I don't like you...so no PTA, let's do $100,000.00 for the misdemeanor offenses. Makes you wonder.

Judge Keegan is the most biased judge that I have ever been in contact with. She makes rude statements, and waits with bated breath for the defendant to make a comment so that she can make the bond even higher. She is not a good person, nor is she a good judge.
