With actual proof and facts that my ex-wife was in contempt, Judge Emons disregarded everything I presented as evidence. Contempt was denied. My ex-wife stopped paying the mortgage (for over a year) as ordered originally on the free house Judge Emons gave her! Judge Emons tells her "that's ok, I'll give you another chance"! I asked Judge Emons, "What about my credit"? Judge Emons replies "What about it? Your credit doesn't matter"!

Ex-wife lied about her income to get a tax-payer paid "modest means" lawyer. Ex-wife lied about being a poor "single" mother to get all court fees waived (her affair partner who moved in has a job).

I just read the Judge Emons was removed. I hope the next Judge reads the case fully and understands how much fault was done to only one party.

All ratings should be a ZERO. This system like Emons' bench is seriously flawed.
Emons is a Partisan non-compassionate decision maker adversely effecting the lives of children and their families - decisions on her own accord potentially extremely dangerous to children based on her personal hateful views of the family and men in general and her outlandish invectiveness. It is a Godsent that she is gone. Now if only we can get others of her ilk out of the judiciary would be a great day. BTW who are the partisans that gave her a "10"?? Where they surrogates of Emons and/or paid?

I was in tears this morning of relief after finding out that Judge Emons is no longer on the bench. I have been in court for several years now regarding my family matter and I always found the other three judges I have seen to be fair. My case is nothing compared to others who have worse circumstances. Judge Emons yelled at myself and my ex the first time she even met us and called us dysfunctional (based upon how many motions have been filed but not having any knowledge of our case). She also disregarded a previous court order from another judge simply because she did not share the same opinion. The second time we were in front of us, she yelled at us again and ordered us to go in the hallway for 5 minutes and come to an agreement or come back in and she will make decisions for us. I work in the legal field and I am delighted that finally a judge like this was stripped of her job since she showed no compassion, a rude temperament and did not show any fairness in her rulings. It is a great day to learn of her career of tyranny finally coming to an end.

What a jubilee that Emmons is off the bench. What a favor from God, this judge massacre families, she is rude, I heard her call people immigrant, black girl, lost cause etc.. Its is such a justice that God liberate those of us that were subjected to the ruling of this oppressor in a robe. Just because a person is poor or immigrant or female or living in a subsidy apartment doesn't mean we don't have a say in how we are being judged. Oh God almighty, thank you for rescuing us from the fangs of the enemies. Judge Jane B Emmons you are a viper. I pray for you!

I was in front of judge Jane B. Emons for three years.

my daughter was 6 years old at the time.
My daughter made Accusation against her father how is a known sex offender.
Made a mockery of my second lawyer.
She said that I'm to close to my daughter.
Said that I put all this in her head.
She sent me to see a Forensic Therapist.
Instead of doing her homework and referred back to the first case that she put in John Hill family relations hands.
She took all rights from me.
Gave my daughter to her father how is here on a green card.
How is a known sex offender.
Now she is 9 years old and I can finely have her every Thursday and every other weekend.
Because we saw a different judge and gave me some rights back.

She is hot headed and runs into chambers daily to discuss minor things related to the case at hand. Grants illegal motions from chambers without even speaking to defendant or other party or even looks at evidence. Threatens people and forces them to sign motions under duress

She screams and yells at parents who want nothing more than to be parents to their kids. Any judge who supports the complete removal of a fit parent from a child's life is promoting school shootings, delinquency and psychotropic medications that have to be given to these damaged children.

This judge is a bully, arrogant and a liar. She has destroyed families and she doesn’t know the difference between a GAL and an AMC. She lied under oath, she can’t “recall” things because she is leaving herself room to skirt around the truth.

Judge Emons actions took my children, Thiabult, Charlotte and Shelby ( still under 15) all belongings, both houses,every dime, three cars after 17 years of marriage. I was homeless. I have not seen my three children in 5 years due to Emons. I was their primary caretaker with all kids thriving. Emons is unprofessional, draconian.

This judge almost killed my family. She mocked the fact that I was being abused and my children. She toyed with me and even used Resources from court such as employees to break me down. She would not clear up issues in the case even bringing proof and would use the lies furnished as a reason to make me jump through hoops.

Till this day when I put papers in court because my motherly rights were absolutely ahnialated by my abusive ex husband she would not want to see me unless I paid amounts of money I proved to application process I did not have for court fees. This has made my fight for my relationship with my boys almost impossible as my ex husband alienated my sons.

This judge should remember cases like Mine in which she absolutely took my rights and surely my case should be investigated.

She should be made to court process herself and pay for the unfortunate end unnecessary ordeal we have live for years. She in partnership with the Lawyer my ex husband paid 20000 for a divorce that almost took my life should pay for the violations in my case.

There should be tv and recording to malbehaviored judges like her know we are not going to tolerate injustice or misuse of positions that hurt families like Mine!

Throughout the 8 years my custody battle lasted we appeared before several different judges. While each of them would listen to my documented testimony of terrible and relentless behavior that was slowly destroying my child, they would each routinely express great concern for my child's mental well being and quality of life. Nevertheless, it wasn't until we were before Judge Emons that action was taken and my child was allowed her right to live happily. Judge Emons was beyond patient, compassionate and fair with EVERYONE involved however, she always remained steadfast in her determination to help my child. Judge Emons is a keen and resolute judge who realizes that during all the madness and delays that some family courts allow, the children who are waiting for relief need to be made a priority and sometimes swift action is paramount. In short, Judge Emons is exceptional at what she does and she should be nothing but admired for her diligence to the service she provides. It's really a shame that more adults can't conceptualize the notion that rather than futilely expending their energy on blaming judges for their own shortcomings they could be utilizing their efforts to examine what they should be doing to make some necessary personal changes.

I have been before several judges and work in the legal field myself though I do not practice law. I must say that Judge Emons is absolutely the worst judge to appear before when it comes to family matters. She makes decisions based upon hearsay before letting all the parties have a chance to speak. She is rude, has no manners, yells at parties, and has no tolerance for much. Most family law cases are predominantly pro-se and she has no empathy towards anyone, nor does she care about the well being of children involved. She does not review the case properly ahead of time, and will just believe anything someone says without facts. Hopefully she retires sooner than later, as that will be better for us all.

Doesn't know family law not does she know the law when it pertains to active duty military families. Unreasonable and completely biased based on who she deals with not the actual law. Very disappointed this is the only judge in Milford that handles family matters. She needs to be replaced

Has no true understanding about law, especially family legal matters. Conducts secret, behind the scene -
status, ex-parte status conferences illegally. Most decisions based on nothing more then hearsay. Very biased. Can get VERY flustered and she yells and runs off the bench almost daily.

Shoot from the hip is an understatement. This judge issues ex parte orders like candy for her favorites. She lacks judicial temperament and wants quick solutions to complex problems. Essentially a lazy bitter terrible person with a robe on. Be very wary of getting anything close to justice from her. Just god awful especially in family court where the issues often require patience and intellect and curiousity. She has none of the above. Worst judge I've e er appeared before.

With 85 percent pro se, Judge Emons is not even remotely kind to this majority. Her constant status conferences for attorneys, many in her chambers illegally robs children's legal guardians from their entire parenting process. Don't ever agree to GAL or AMC and insist of list of "vendors" if you are ordered for schedulers or other nonsense.

Smart, but tends to hip shoot. "Cuts to the chase" pre-maturely and renders uninformed decisions. Court congestion may force some of this behavior, but she is as responsible as anybody for the backlog by kowtowing to the regulars. Openly hostile to pro se litigants.

She is the best judge in Stamford. She solves very difficult problems with thoughtfulness. She goes above and beyond to make up for the difficult process set up by the legislature to address family matters. She is able to see through the lies and deceit prevalent in family matters. She renders fair and thorough decisions that stand up to the appeals process.
