Campbell is someone who just cannot be bothered doing any work. He tends not to read filings (or work off of digests). He therefore has little idea of what the arguments or either side are. He doesn't look up cites or statutes. He thinks he knows them by memory and is almost invariably wrong. He almost never holds hearings. He gets away with it because he is a bully and has attorneys cowed because these guys know that soonr or later they will have to appear before him again and Campbell holds grudges. His Court is a disgrace to the legal profession.

The laziest judge in the country and one of the laziest people in the country. Too lazy to hold hearings. Too lazy to read pleadings. Basically, he retired years ago but hasn't told anyone and is still drawing a regular paycheck for doing virtually nothing.

Racist, elitist, slow, and incompetent. This judge ruled against every motion I filed (except for extension of time), and in less than 24 hours before the pre-trial conference in November 2016, this judge had his clerk call me via telephone to tell me that he was granting defendant's (government) motion for summary judgment (MSJ) that was filed in July 2016. Before the pre-trial conference, a motion for summary judgment was pending (but he took the time to deny plaintiff's motion to compel), plaintiff's opposition to the MSJ was pending, defendant's motions in limine were pending (which were disguised as a motion to consider MSJ), and plaintiff's opposition to those motions in limine were pending before the pre-trial conference. His ruling denying the motion to compel was in only a few words, one sentence. The judge allowed all parties to attend a mandatory settlement conference, scheduled the pre-trial conference before ruling on all of these motions, and made us waste time preparing for the pre-trial conference only to dismiss the case via telephone. This is a Clinton administration appointed judge which says a lot. The ONLY reason why he is a judge and allowed to do all of this is because he is a white male. He is not fit to be a judge.

Notoriously slow when signing Orders.
Absent a lot for different reasons.
Shows favoritism towards the Government.
Tried so hard to get along with this Judge, but he always finds a way to give me a difficult time. He is an elitist with a government and criminal law background and a Harvard Education. Maybe he doesn't like me because he is an elitist, maybe its something else. Elitism and racism are first cousins. I'm running out of excuses for him.
