Comments:
polite and friendly. doesnt lean towards any particular side. allows litigants to get out their arguments without interrupting but still runs an efficient calendar. one of the best judges on the bench

Litigant

Comment #: DC191
Rating:Not Rated
Comments:
Judge Fisher is the one judge capable of handling matters in the Landlord/Tenant Branch of Superior Court with an intelligent understandng and careful application of landlord-tenant law, which a 40-year practitioner of that law in D.C. has described as "highly technical and complex." Judge Fisher is one of the best judges we have, if not the best.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: DC41
Rating:8.4
Comments:
Very hard working. Always prepared. Runs a very good courtroom. Very patient in balancing the efficient use of judicial resources and the parties' need for time to present their cases as they see fit.

Criminal Defense Lawyer

Comment #: DC28
Rating:9.8
Comments:
Dangerously smart and prepared. You must be better prepared in his courtroom than in most others in Superior Court. But gentlemanly all the same. Hasn't yet forgotten what it's like to try cases rather than judge them. Great judge to have if you have the winning argument; bad judge if you need to snow your way through.
