Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: DC547
Rating:10.0
Comments:
I had a matter of moderate complexity before Judge O'Keefe. He did an excellent job adjudicating the matter. He issued a prompt written determination, and his reasoning was so clear that it was very easily understood by both lawyer and laymen. His judicial temperament is quite good, and he focused the parties' attention on the most important points. He treated both parties and counsels respectfully. I call that being a very good jurist.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: DC534
Rating:2.5
Comments:
O'Keefe is the worst of what the DC Superior Court has become. Ignorant of law, unaware of facts, indifferent to justice. Just wants to shoot from the hip and legislate from the bench. O'Keefe is just like "Shark Tank" except in a black robe.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: DC521
Rating:6.0
Comments:
Tries to get to what he thinks is the right result, but can be poorly reasoned in how he gets there. Does not absorb or recall facts from hearing to hearing. Excellent courtroom temperment, though difficult to read. Does not give the litigants guidance on where to focus, or what facts and issues have been sufficiently presented.
