Comments:
I had a case before her today which was the last called so I watched the other cases she handled. She was remarkably even tempered and even compassionate to the human condition she had before her in that courtroom. I was impressed. The Greek immigrant who may not have spoke English perfectly and had a lawsuit against President Obama was treated with great courtesy, adherence to the law, and gentleness. The tenant with a case against the landlord who had a lot of issues and some difficulty in understanding the process was treated with respect and, as far as I can tell, her lack of understanding of courtroom protocols did not affect in any way Judge Beck's treatment of her or perhaps the ultimate outcome. I was really impressed. If your case comes before her, you may win or lose, but she is giving it her best. She may make a mistake, but not out of malice. What more to want.
