Comments:
I have never appeared before Judge Morin, so while he might be a good judge...he is a horrible Chief Judge. He refuses to respond to complaints about the operations of the court and Judges. He should not have been selected as Chief Judge if he does not care about the concerns of members of the Bar.

All prior Chief Judges were responsive to members of the Bar. So what is his problem?

Comments:
I have tried several matters before Judge Morin, in each case against a party represented by an attorney. The cases were complex. His approach is a little different from many other Judges. Judge Morin had 3 way conferences with counsels, he had counsels appear in chambers to discuss procedural and substantive issues, and he was not afraid to ask counsels to submit memoranda on sticky issues that were not clear. The net effect of Judge Morin's approach is that the issues become crystal clear to the parties.

You know what that does? It makes it easier to settle the case, or if the case has to be tried, it actually makes it easier to try the case to judgment.

There is a reason why he is the Chief Judge. He is a terrific jurist.
