Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: DC591
Rating:2.3
Comments:
Judge Satterfield is dangerous on the bench in landlord-tenant court. While he I think is likely capable of making smart and informed decisions, he is so callous and impatient and arrogant that he fails to assess the case fairly and often sends tenants to their eviction when they shouldn't, because he just cant be bothered or felt somehow bothered by a litigant doing something like try to state their case. He mumbles and then yells and is disrespectful to both members of the bar and litigants. He also makes no attempt to engage with the law and simply does what he feels like in the moment.

It will be a matter of time before your judges are investigated , removed from the bench like Judge Richard Palumbo, or a petition started. You do not take complaints against your judges seriously.

lets CJA attorneys get away with too much.

Civil Litigation - Private

Rating:7.9
Comments:
Good smart judge but needs to work on temperament. Tends to go off on litigants without any reason. Somewhat pro-prosecution but not unfairly so.
