Judge Reid-Winston is eminently fair and smart. She gives all parties ample time to speak in court. However, attorneys who show up unprepared will incur her wrath. I've appeared before her many times, and she has ruled against my client numerous times, but I've never left her courtroom thinking I didn't get a fair hearing. On the down side, Judge Reid-Winston has a tendency to sit on contested motions too long. Overall, she's a dedicated jurist who does a good job.

This Judge is smart, sharp, and understands not only the law, but the games greedy family members play in Probate court when they don't get what they want from the deceased. She does not allow anyone to tie up the court's time, or taxpayers money with foolishness.

She screams at attorneys in court. People have walked out of court and quit the Fiduciary Panel because of her verbal abuse.

In open court, when asked to rule on the sufficiency of a complaint that failed to allege a single act by the defendant and that stated that the defendant should cease doing what the complaint failed to allege, Reid-Winston mindlessly said, "Oh, I can tell what she's doing." Then Reid-Winston thought the better of her statement and added: "Allegedly." The case was eventually thrown out of court, and the plaintiffs sought voluntary dismissal of a simultaneous suit that alleged what the first one failed to allege. The waste of time and money on inferred allegations by a judge needs to be computed and addressed, for the sake of our court system, the litigants, the attorneys who represented them, and society as a whole, which cannot be expected to tolerate the inferences of uniformed judges. Reid-Winston cannot even begin to evaluate the harm she has done by willing to infer guilt where there was none to infer. Quelle perte pour nous tous, quelle malhonnêté de la part d'une juge!

Judge Reid-Winston is one of the most respected judges on the Superior Court bench. She is very thoughtful regarding her opinions. Her orders are always very detailed. She gives everyone a chance to make their case in court. She goes above and beyond in trying to make sure non-attorneys understand the process. You may not agree or like her decisions but she tries to do the right thing by all parties and I respect that. I only wish more Superior Court judges were like her. She can be tough when she needs to be, but that is not always required or necessary in her courtroom.

This judge is exceptional. She has a strong understanding of the law and her demeanor is at all times fair and calm. She demonstrates respect for all parties and takes time to explain matters to pro se litigants. She is also very punctual in setting hearings and resolving motions and keeps the case on track. Her rulings are well-reasoned.
