Do nothing Judge who won't make any rulings or move a case along. Also, reads nothing prior to my attorney presenting in front of her. She should be retired off the bench.

needlessly drags out intestate probates she does not understand, often converting summary administrations to formals when the decedent has been dead for decades and the estate is worth far less than 75K. So far, several of my clients have died waiting on Muir to sign off. Currently her incompetence and that of her staff have needlessly delayed a proceeding to the detriment of all the heirs. Heirs call and cry saying this has dragged out for so many years and all I can give them are the JA's excuses: stacks of papers ahead of us to be signed; a hurricane, the holidays, etc. This woman is either stupid, quasi-senile, or incapable of managing her time efficiently. I tell everyone who probates in Dade that if they get this judge, they should plan on many years of her rude staff and her inability to grasp anything other than the most straightforward case. Somehow there are other Dade probate judges that can finish a summary administration in 60 days and don't need a roadmap to follow the case.

Judge Muir is an outstanding Probate judge. She pays key attention to the issues presented before her, and, rules with fairness and clarity. It is a joy to be in her courtroom.

Almost appears brain dead at times. Completely incompetent.

She is neither pro-defendant nor pro-plaintiff; she is pro-big contributor. Nice person, but needs a different job.

Judge Muir is a very sweet lady, but she is manifestly incompetent. She doesn't take the time to read the law and seldom understands it when she does. One of the worst judges on the Miami-Dade bench.

A fine person. A good judge who is patient, courteous and always professional.
