What a disgrace for the judicial system! He does not read any of the lawyer statements and continues giving extensions (3 in total) to my tenant, which he never did paid. He obviously does not want to go to court and do the work. Forces you to bogus extensions and mediation until the lease is over and there's nothing to fight for. Contrary to this judge believes most landlords live of the income of their leased property. Get ready to waist your time if you get this judge on an tenant eviction. I had follow the law to the T but when you get a judge that takes the law under his own hands you are always going to loose. Shame on you.

Judge Beller is a superb judge! I have litigated complex personal injury cases in Miami-Dade County for almost 30 years, and I found Judge Beller to be:
1) fair; 2) impartial; 3) remarkably familiar with the previous years of pleadings; 4) punctual; and 5) definitely not lazy, in any way. This was my first time before Judge Beller, and in reading other comments about him, I felt that voicing my positive opinion was warranted. I wish that we had more judges like Judge Beller in Miami-Dade.

I was surprised to read the other reviews. I have witnessed Judge Beller presiding in court on numerous occasions and have always found him to be prepared, fair, and very personable.

Very lazy judge. Never puts in a full day of work. Terrible demeanor and the only fair thing about him is that he is rude to everyone that appears before him.

I wish I had read Judge Beller's ratings prior to turning down the $2500 settlement offered at mediation. I took a former client to small claims court. He owed me $4500 for work I had done for him. I had kept a journal, brought the printouts of over 800 emails between me and my client, and had, in his writing, a schedule on which he was supposed to have paid me.

Judge Beller chose to believe my client's attorney and the lies that the defendant spouted (I didn't have an attorney--thought that small claims court was a venue for the public) when he questioned how much my services could have been worth. I didn't think it was up to the judge to assess my value since the defendant and I had agreed to the terms.

He proceeded to award me $2000 plus court costs, less than half of what I was owed. Now I really don't trust our judicial system.

Is there anything I can do about his ridiculous ruling?

(I have yet to collect the money and can't figure out how to get it.)

Had specially set hearing on motion for summary judgment. Briefed by both sides. Judge actually said on record he nnever reads these things beforehand, doesn't really know this area of the law (real estate) and pushed parties to magistrate. What a waste of judicial effort!
