Judge Falvey is the most unjust judge. Judge Falvey seems to operate her court with little regard for ethics or the law.

One of the most intelligent and respectful Judges in Citrus County. Fair and kind to everyone, even people who act out in Court. Understanding of the emotional difficulty of being a litigant.

I have lost faith in the judicial process because of Judge Falvey, a family court judge in the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Citrus County, Florida. My husband of 18 years left and did not see our children for two years. There were many incidents of his non-involvement our children as well, as I was never informed of where he was living. My youngest daughter (who was 13 at the time) became depressed and ended up in an adult psych ward waiting for transport to an adolescent facility; my husband was informed and did not come to the hospital to be with his child, while myself and a friend stayed all night until she left. My husband has taken my daughter, and while she may decide where she chooses to live we have court ordered 50/50 custody and he at this time is in contempt. I have been threatened by my husband repeatedly that he would kill me and put my body where no one will find it; this is to me a real threat as he is a retired police officer, although from another state. On 9/9/2013 Judge Falvey was made aware of my fears, as he continues to enter my home. I am afraid that, as my children are no longer living with me, Judge Falvey has ordered that he may continue to be in my home, although he has a home of his own. (I was also ordered not to change my locks.) I have other examples of Judge Falvey's very poor decisions, but feel that this is the worst. This decision was made after a young mother and her baby were brutally stabbed multiple times by her boyfriend. Judge Falvey should not be making legal decisions of any kind as this may cost me my life.

Criminal Defense Lawyer

Judge Falvey seems to operate her court with little regard for ethics or the law. When appearing as an advocate and as a witness in an action, she dismissed my presence, stating that the procedure in her chambers was a meeting only and not a trial or hearing, yet proceeded to place a litigant under oath, hear arguments on a motion of contempt and then issue court orders regarding the motion. The litigant was without legal representation and requested a continuance several times, only to be denied that right because: "This is only a meeting. You do not need an attorney present for this."

I feel Judge Falvey is unfair and does not put the child's best interest first. She acts as if she is letting parents share a piece of property. These kids are human beings and she should start treating them as such. She will not uphold the laws, she just makes it up as she goes. I hope and pray this women is not given a higher seat. She does not have good judgement. I'm wondering how she has gotten to where she is.

Very nice to both parties. Listens and is kind in explaining why she makes a decision. Took her time and let us go over our time.

Comment #: FL2088
Judge Carol Falvey does not take the time to extensively hear a case, or arguments of both parties, presented before her. When introduced with a case where one party does not live within Citrus County it is overly apparent that her rationale does not lie with the child(ren) or family's well-being but only her political agenda within Citrus County. It is evident her political greed outweighs her judicial obligation of fair and thoroughness to the families unfortunately forced to address her.
