The worst Judge that I have EVER stood in front of. I asked the moron one question and she flew off the edge (so to speak). I asked, "Is this a court of record?" She then went off, talking about, "You are not going to start asking me Sovereign Citizen questions. Yah, Yah, Yah! Blah, Blah, Blah! Now how do you plea? Trust me. She has NOOOOO idea the lawsuit that I have coming at her for even hearing this case.

Disgustingly rude and unfair. I went in front of her for a speeding ticket I wrongfully got and the cop showed no proof of me speeding. Ritter Hoff didn't listen to anything I said she automatically had more respect for the cop. Where's the justice in her courtroom??? Unprofessional! She also had everyone that came on time wait a hour for the cop to show up. Horrible judge.

Very unprofessional and rude. She had no consideration for citizens of her courtroom. She has the mindset that everyone in front of her is guilty. She doesn't want to hear nor care about there side of the story Very unfair. I don't understand why someone so miserable and hateful could keep a job like this. She's on a power trip.

She is not a fair judge. Her bailiff even expressed this. Whatever her mood is, especially being nasty, she is nasty to the defendants. Picking and choosing who she chastises in her court room. She needs to be thrown out on her tail.

Ritterhoff denied me my rights. Denied me the right to plea. Denied me the right to my private counsel. I had a blank piece of paper stuck between my fingers with no charges, i was almost dead. I asked if id even been arrested, (never bring in any trouble before) she told me i was guilty of something and sentenced me to a public defender who avoided my family for over 3 weeks. Special Needs at that. I just happen to be smart special needs, an educator amongst other things within my field.

She is a very conscientious and caring judge. It is a shame that political opponent is using this site as a tool to berate her with no grounds whatsoever.

Judge Sarah Ritteroff Williams is knowledgeable, experienced, fair and impartial, with loads of INTEGRITY. I stood with her in a Pod with a small group of Citizens years ago as a notorious Serial Killer heckled her from his cell. She was professional, steadfast, and did not grandstand the situation in any way. It was an unnerving moment, but she appeared calm and in control. Her integrity and experience showed through that day. She has only improved throughout the subsequent years. She needs to be returned to the Bench. Justice needs her!

She is a tough yet fair judge who does not just take plea deals to make her life easier. If you break the law you should have to pay. I love seeing these defense lawyers all complain about her I wonder why. We need more judges like her.

Any judge that doesnt look at a case on the merits of said case isnt worthy of being on the bench. I agree new cases should be looked at in an individual manner with past history weighing only a small part in sentencing. Judges that barely take the time to look at the individual circumstances in a case but instead flip through to whatever the state attorney recommends isnt working for the justice of the people. Tgey are doing nothing but "lets make a deal" .

She is a tough Judge. Very dedicated and committed to serving the citizens of Marion County. She doesn't play "Let's Make a Deal" depending on what attorney you have or what your status in the community is - you break the law and plea or are found guilty - your sentence is the same as anyone else depending on the charge and your criminal history.

She is crude and mean to defendants and their family members. Once on Facebook, she said all marijuana users are “losers”, yet somehow she’s still able to preside over marijuana cases despite this bias. All the violations of probations she rules on have a standard sentence depending on the reason for the violation— she never considers individual reasons when issuing sentences. She regularly does unlawful actions, such as demanding poor defendants pay application fees for the public defender before she will hear their case. She also gives unlawful sentencing orders, such as instructing defendants they cannot take their prescription medications. She is undeniably biased in favor of the prosecution.

This judge essentially hijacks the prosecution of criminal cases under the apparent guise that she is protecting the "correct" outcome from any chance that an inexperienced prosecutor or a good defense attorney might lead to the accused not being found guilty and sufficiently punished. There are no negotiations allowed for VOPs, and she inserts herself into plea negotiations on initial cases frequently, adding terms, refusing to accept negotiated pleas unless they conform to her idea of what punishment should be. She seems to like to act the part of a "hanging judge" without the sense of neutrality in the process that would give her more of a right to be harsh when it's appropriate. The single most critical characteristic of a good judge is impartiality. Ironically, that seems to be the trait she most lacks.

This judge is disrespectful and seems to assume the worst in humanity. Max sentences and very little leniency is given case after case. Absolutely the worst judge I have witnessed.

THE WORST JUDGE IN THE 5TH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT...HORRIBLE TEMPERAMENT...INTELLECTUALLY DISHONEST...ACTIVELY PARTICIPANT IN PLEA NEGOTIATIONS TO THE DETRIMENT OF DEFENDANTS...HAS PRE-CONCEIVED SCHEDULES OF SENTENCES...MAY ACTUALLY BE THE WORST JUDGE IN THE STATE...WILL HOLD LAWYERS IN CONTEMPT...BE VERY CAREFUL...DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE LAW OR THE CONCEPT OF PRECEDENT. WILL NOT RECUSE HERSELF, EVEN WHEN IT IS ABUNDANTLY CLEAR THAT SHE NEEDS TO.

Immediately after a multi-day trial, she ruled from the bench and read from a multiple page order. Afterwards, my client asked if I agreed with his opinion that the last day of trial had been a total waste of time since it was obvious she had made up her mind long before the end. As much as I waned to defend the system, I could not; I had to agree with my client.
