This judge neds to be removed from the bench as he has no knowledge of Probate court. His actions showed favoritism and bias. He told both councel how he would rule before listening to the facts of the case at the hearing - forcing the outcome he desired. Dishonest, cruel and needs to be investigated!

Comments:
Judge Shames is moody, vindictive, and cruel. He comes from Criminal Justice, where I suppose he was required to be tough. Now he is in Probate, and treats people like they are criminals. These are people who are dealing with stressful probate matters and are typically dealing with the recent loss of a loved one. Judge Shames treats our clients with disdain and disgust. His mood determines the judgment, and will routinely circumvent Florida law to make his rulings. Ironically, his Judicial Assistant is quite friendly.

The way in which Judge Shames speaks to my clients is completely unacceptable. I have lodged formal complaints, and I know I am not the only Probate attorney to do so. He needs to be off of the Probate bench, as he is cruel, condescending, and generally ignorant of Florida Probate law.

Comments:
Moody, subjective judge; verdict depends on how his mood is that day. Be careful, he does not work for justice. Possibly works to pad his pockets, or sides with people of the same religion or politics. Very unprofessional. Does not rule based on the law, but based on his emotions or other outside influences.

Totally biased, unpredictable, unstable. This man should not be a judge. He does not follow the law, and only God knows how he makes his final decisions. How does he get influenced? Surely there is outside influence...in the form of something material, perhaps???
