I do not know whether Judge Walter Komanski is stupid or corrupt, but he is definitely in a bush league of his own. Imagine a pretty simple issue where the law is absolutely clear that, "the trial court is required to do B and not A," and the other side is just making up legal concepts out of thin air. Things you know are bogus from first semester law school. We've all had that happen. Well, Judge Komanski will still not rule. He will take it under advisement. Then, a few MONTHS later, without alerting both sides, he will secretly call one of the lawyers and ask that lawyer to prepare an order for him that he then signs without revisions and issues pretending he wrote it. Half the time, it's from the lawyer who was clearly wrong.

I WISH I could say Judge Komanski does that because he just forgets the arguments and is so incredibly lazy that he does not want to even try to remember the issue by actually reading the documents or maybe even a case, so he asks someone to submit an order and signs it if it sounds good. But, I'm not sure I can give him that much credit. If you practice in front of him, you can lie about anything you want, make up the record to suit yourself. He won't know you're lying and he won't do anything about it even if the other side calls you on it. Just say whatever you want and hope he calls you for his order.

Worst Judge in the history of Winter Park failed the bar, passed in the Spring - failed to graduate from an accredited law school. Is an embarrassment to the Judiciary predisposed to females in Family Court (hopefully he will not rotate back - his best use is pushing a broom or mopping floors) not on the Bench.

Stooge - least qualified of any Circuit Court Judge in Orange Cournty, Florida. Lazy, slow, mean-spirited and stupid. If he is assigned to your criminal or civil case (rotated in) file a motion to disqualify on the basis of delay - he takes 1-year on average after trial to get a an Order out - and all he had to do is sign a proposed order - he signs them verbatim without and changes.
Horrible to present to, he is easily led off track and distracted and he does not care anymore. He should be removed from the bench for cause.

It doesnt matter what the facts are, he will ALWAYS deny a motion to suppress. This Judge doesnt care about the facts or the law

He is a huge disappointment as a judge. In Family Court he is extremely biased towards the female - if you represent the male, file a motion of prohibition. He is not at all intelligent - he graduated in 1975 from an unaccredited law school (John Marshall - Atlanta), failed the summer bar of 1975, passed the winter exam 2/25/1976, and if he came to Florida today, he would not be allowed to sit on the bench. He has found a way to waste the maximum amount of time while always behind in his docket - he will routinely delay a Final Judgment of Dissolution for 9 months. He would rather get reversed on appeal than get it right the first time.
