I appeared before him for two traffic violations: (1) running a stop sign; and (2) having an invalid license plate. There was no stop sign at that intersection and I showed up in court only to learn that the deputy (a moron) who charged me had requested that the first charge be dismissed because "he [said] he made a mistake." The second charge should not have been brought as the vehicle was a rented vehicle. The deputy admitted to not knowing when licenses expired in the state that the plate was for (Pennsylvania). My attorney also argued strong statutory law to Judge Padgett about how only the owners of vehicles for hire can update the license plates on them. However, Judge Padgett still found me guilty. I don't think he listened to my attorney.
