Conflict of interest with Akerman Senterfitt, yet he hears those foreclosure cases. "Mr. Attitude"
Friendlly beyond belief to foreclosure attorneys on behalf of banks. If you are a homeowner facing foreclosure you don't stand a chance with judge Thomas Julian Rebull, might as well kiss it good bye.

Comment #: FL5077
Judge Thomas Julian Rebull shouldn't be allowed to hear cases where Akerman (Senterfitt) lawyers represent mortgage foreclosure cases. Before he was appointed to the bench by Fl. Governor Rick Scott , his law partner and many of his staff went to work for Akerman Llc. He will grant most motions filed by Akerman lawyers and even offer help as to how to prosecute the foreclosure cases. We don't trust judge Rebull, he has two faces, one for the homeowners and a free for all for Akerman lawyers. Where is the JQC when you need them. Rebull has a huge conflict of interest when it comes to Akerman Llc attorneys and he should recuse himself from hearing these cases or better yet he should be investigated ASAP.

Extremely arrogant and even though he likes to come through as being respectful, he is totally the opposite. He is 100% pro-bank/financial institutions and large State of Fla. Law firms. If you happened to be a homeowner facing foreclosure forget about Judge Rebull, he will rule against you 90% of the time and if you dare ask why or for his opinion he will respond "The Court Respectfully declines to offer an opinion." so you are left with nothing. Now, if you are a big law firm or a financial institutions/Bank, he will be as nice as he can be. I was hoping that since he is a minority judge that he was going to be more compassionate towards poor/middle class defendants, well, I was dreaming. No matter what you do or how much work you put in your case, FORGET ABOUT IT WITH REBULL.

Limited time in front of him so far but he seems capable, engaged and patient. Reads motions and responses. Listens to your arguments and plays devil's advocate to gauge your grasp of the legal issues. Be prepared when you argue in front of him and he should rule fairly. Time will tell.
