If I could, I would rate Judge Haury, Jr. with a negative 1000000. WORST.JUDGE.EVER! He dismisses that a parties attorney filed months in advance their unavailability, continued with the hearing, granted opposing party a judgement with ZERO evidence, facts, etc. If you are going through a separation, divorce, custody issues and this is your judge, RUN! File to have another judge assigned! He is bias, unfair and blatantly disregards the judicial system! How he was voted in to this position is mind boggling!

Super biased, unprepared, dismissive of the integrity which is suppose to occur. In retrospect, wish I had filed a Motion to Disqualify Haury for sloppy & severe prejudice but he played it smart with polite greetings which then revert into prejudicial rulings not based on law or civil procedure. Plan on an Appeal early, your opponent is not opposing counsel it is Haury if you are on the wrong side of the fence - set up the case for violations of due process, be patience and know they will come...then remove him from the case.

Worst Judge EVER! Scheduled hearings without acknowledging attorney was unavailable. Granted opposing side with motion without other counsel present. Did not ever hear ANY evidence what so ever! He is extremely bias and needs to be removed ASAP from the bench!

Worst judge in Broward. Clearly biased and doesn’t care to follow or understand the law. Doesn’t bother to prepare for hearings or read motions or memos. Should leave the bench as he clearly has no interest in being fair or informed.

Horrible experience in court! Completely unfair and biased. For the sake of our community and society, I hope he either takes a long vacation or retires soon.

I gave him a 1 because he is punctual.

if you're a pro se litigant with an upcoming hearing before judge haury, i would advise you to hire an attorney ... fast! you could have the stone-cold nuts -- the facts, the case law, the statutes, and even an admission on the part of opposing counsel that you're right, and judge haury will rule against you 100% of the time. this is a sad shame. i asked his ja off the record what his deal was and she told me in confidence that he does that because he figures if you don't have the cash to hire a lawyer then you definitely don't have the cash to file an appeal with the dca.

As a non-attorney who's prosecuted numerous actions, most successfully, from County and Circuit, to Federal, as well as having filed an Appellant's Brief in the 4th DCA, I'm not unfamiliar with the diverse dispositions of numerous Judges, particularly to pro se litigants. But I've found Judge Haury to 100% objective and fair in all aspects of each pleading; who's always advised before the hearing from having fully read all matters proffered by both sides, and without the preformed conclusions of a non-bar member litigant that is too often drawn by many judges which occasionally affects their objectivity to the standards they expect and the tolerance they allow for Bar members who fail to fully meet those standards. Judge Haury has displayed only what any of us coming before the Bench can expect, and that is 100% unbiased objective consideration of the pleadings made, the issues raised, and thoughtful, informed deliberation on applying the law to whatever his ruling is. You better have all the answers to whatever questions will be raised, by your adversary, or the Bench, when appearing in Division 13; because this Court doesn't miss asking every relevant question to the issue at hand. And you will look foolish for hesitating; and feel eviscerated for failing. Fortunately, this observation was learned at the expense of my adversaries; and I intend to keep it that way; especially in Division 13. (JM)

This judge is mean-spirited and petty. He is not as smart as he thinks he is and his demeanor is that of an adversary rather than that of a considered jurist. He does not review motions or memoranda before hearings and is often entirely unprepared to address the matter at hand. He also tries to find a reason not to make a decision or drags out a decision over multiple hearings without regard to the time and expense caused to the litigants before him. Just terrible.

Judge Haury actually brought integrity and fairness to the forecloure courtroom in his brief stint in foreclosures. Unfortuantely, I guess the "powers that be" in our corrupt judiciary felt that he asked too many questions of bank's attorneys and held them accountable for their lack of preparation and fraudulent documents they constantly peddled before the court. He didn't tow the agenda laid down by the masively corrupt Florida legislature in Tallahassess to "clear the dockets" of foreclosure cases in Florida, or risk a cut in funding. The rest of the judicial hacks on the foreclosure bench in Broward, Miami and Plam Beach willingly went along with the state's corrupt agenda while thousands of homeowners were swept away in a tsunami of corruption, back door deals, fraud, graft and political payback. Judge Haury was one of the few with the chutzpah to stand agains the agenda and least provide a semblance of a fair process in foreclosures. His rewaard? of course, he had to be moved out. Welcome to Florida, "The Corruption State".
