Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: FL8797
Rating:3.4
Comments:
This is a judge who will not follow case law once he's chosen a side. He is prone to "picking a side" and does not like "outsider" attorneys practicing law in his court room. He commands respect from the attorneys before him but provides no respect toward those attorneys. If you're a practicing attorney who is older than him and are regularly in front of him, you will be given much more preference and leeway as compared to a younger attorney not practicing in the same county. Even when presented with evidence and case law which supports your position, he will not "go your way" if he's already chosen a side. He won't let you make a record and will threaten sanctions if you try. I have a feeling he will learn to humble himself more once he's been smacked down by the appellate court enough times.
2 of 10 - would not recommend, but I'm sure his dog loves him.
