Civil Litigation - Private

Comments:
Absolute incompetent, terrible , terrible judge. The lady seems to come into the courtroom, toying with peoples lives. Makes judgements based off her mood that day. She certainly is not impartial as a judge should be. She will almost always take the side of someone who appears to be the victim and appears to cry. Have observed her many times in her hearings, and she certainly is far from fair. If possible, avoid this judge at all costs, because nothing good will come out of walking out of her courtroom. Her courtroom certainly is an area where justice is NOT served. A very condescending, belittling individual with a malice against people. Poor analytic and reasoning skills as well.

I've only observed three hearings: two directly and one indirectly while researching for an article. I observed two separate personalities--one for jail court room and one for public courtroom. Most received very reasonable rulings (mostly thanks to the public defender who was present that day)during the "jailhouse" hearings. I was surprised after the jail courtroom observation to see a very impatient, condescending persona in the public courtroom. Despite that, many people left who should have been very satisfied with her rulings in that public courtroom. However, if your file happened to come up at the wrong time, you could easily be burned. Rulings seemed very arbitrary for what appeared to be exact same situation based on the information provided. I've no doubt she takes her job seriously and knows the law. I hope that she can maintain her dedication to the law and her community while learning how to be a "wise" member of the judiciary. More research is on-going.
