When I sit in on a Ruiz docket, I sometimes wonder if people actually know who they are voting into office. Apparently not...

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: FL7981
Rating:8.8
Comments:
Judge Ruiz has the intellect and the disposition to become one of our great judges. She listens, she understands, and treats others respectfully. She has been on the bench now for over five years. While she is now back in the criminal division where she will likely be more comfortable due to her years of criminal practice prior to becoming a judge, many attorneys who labor in the civil division appreciated her memory for details about the cases before her and intense efforts to make the right decision in complicated civil matters.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: FL7618
Rating:8.9
Comments:
Very pleasant jurist. Gives everyone the opportunity to speak and argue. Asks lots of questions. No outward bias. Considers her decisions carefully. Needs experience running a courtroom a little tighter and tougher. Lawyers sometimes get out of hand in her courtroom.

Comments:
Sending hearing transcript to JQC as best evidence to send this unqualified biased Judge packing. ABOLISH ELECTION OF POLITICIAN JUDGES. Merit matters and this one lacks both merit and character.

God help you if you end up with Judge Ruiz. Don't bother submitting case law in advance of hearings, because she doesn't read it. When she does get around to reading it, she doesn't understand it. She should never have come out of dependency court- can't imagine the chaos she caused there. Hard to imagine that she graduated from high school, never mind law school.
