First she disgraces the court in Charlotte County. She was shipped out of Collier because of an inappropriate relationship with one of her baliffs.Wish I could give her a 0. Everyone should print a copy of these comments and send them to Tallahassee. She has already destroyed my life but maybe we can protect others from her crookedness. She's an over the hill BROAD more worried about whether the male attorneys are still looking at her than dispensing justice. You can also send copies of these reviews to the Administrative Judge for the 20th Circuit. Let's get her GONE !!!!!

It's an election year and time to flood Gov. Santis with letters about this judge. She is a black mark on the Judicial System. Time to send her down the road. I NEVER thought I would hear a judge say in open court that purgery was not relevant or that she didn't even look at documents like financial affidavits. What the hell. A big wart on the face of the court that MUST BE REMOVED. It is a shame she can't be sued.she is not a judge. Thug is a better word.

She is normally a family law judge. If you get arrested, hope she is the one covering for the normal 1st appearance Judge. Because of her lack of knowledge she provided the lowest bail on charges for some heinous charged crimes on a person with a FELONY history (trafficking, identify theft, etc.) on the LOWEST bond (below industry standards) because she is "friendly" with the family in family law court. Biased and does not look at facts. Part of the good ol' boy system. Has refused to hear motions set and calendared by legal council and has even SAID IN COURT that... "I already made my ruling before hearing any of your testimony in this case." BIASED! BIASED! BIASED!

Too chummy with counselors. Does not care about the dignity of the court and truth.
Unable to put herself in the shoes of others. Especially pro se litigants. Will sell out to the one represented by counsel every time.

She deserves to be taken off the bench. Absolutely disturbing behavior in the courtroom. Asks personally offended when the facts are presented to her and she does everything she can to make you sound crazy if you have been through domestic violence. The other party got away with blatantly lying under oath even when proven wrong MULTIPLE times! She didn’t care. She picks a “side” long before you sit down in the courtroom with her and it is usually with the male. She skips over important facts and seems to ask questions that have little relevancy to the case. She is the worst family court judge I’ve ever dealt with. Hope she reads all these awful reviews about her because they are accurate.

Judge Evans is a lunatic. From the way she enters her courtroom to addressing the people of the court, or lack there of. She definitely abuses her rights as a Judge and makes biased decisions. She puts children in harms way when there is clear abuse happening. She is a poor excuse for a Family Law Judge and should be taken off the bench sooner than later.

judge Evans from Charlotte county needs to be removed from her position I had to she overturned my ruling of 90% custody the fact that the mother was involved in several DCF investigations and it dependency case and lied under oath and did all kinds of other things and judge Evans put the abused children back in the abused home I defile an appellate court which is $10,000 and they usually don't take it well they took mine right away it was overturned judge Evans is bad news she needs to be removed from the bench she has no business practicing law someone needs to file qja if everybody files qjs on her and complaints she will be removed from the bench Governor rents and Santa's should remove her

Biased against mothers. Was supposed to recuse herself because of a conflict of interest. Was asked to recuse herself and she refused. My daughter has regressed so badly due to her decision to not honor the established and notorized family plan already in place.

~This is a family judge that was a practicing family lawyer who not only knows the law but understands the dynamics of a family law case. Because of her experience, she is not going to be fooled by the usual tricks pulled during hotly contested cases. Fair to all of the parties and polite to the attorneys.

This judge is an embarrassment to family court. She completely ignored important testimony and left my family devastated. She is extremely biased to the father especially if he was absent and then reappears back in the child’s life. She sided with my ex before she even heard the full testimony, makes excuses for dead beat dads and disregards the fact that they haven’t paid child support and are in arrears for years. I hope single moms everywhere stay away because she doesn’t have the best interest of your children in mind at all. She will judge against the and doesn’t care about the damage she does. Wasted so much time in court. She doesn’t listen to facts -only sob stories from men. Sad waste of space in the court room.

I feel bad for you if you get her ruling your case. She went on vacation two weeks after she heard our case and didn’t even rule. We have been in court for a year now. Still no answers. She definitely doesn’t care about her cases. When she asked questions they were petty. Not even important and relevant to the current situation. And she is just rude. Bullies women who are dealing with abusive men. Doesn’t seem to care - I don’t know what else to say. She sucks.

I have been in front mf Judge Evans several times during my divorce and subsequent custody hearings. I hoped and thought she would be fair. She appeared to be so in the divorce hearing, correctly stating that BOTH parties were at fault for creating the situation we found ourselves in. Here's the problem I have with Judge Evans: has so far, absolutely REFUSED to review evidence of false reporting to DCF by my ex wife (even though Judge Evans stated in our divorce decree that she found ex-wife's claims of domestic violence to not be credible), and this has caused me to receive less than equal time with my son. Further, I filed a motion to equal the time sharing, allow electronic communication with my son when he is not with me, and alternate the income tax deduction. Judge Evans has dismissed the entire motion out of hand due to not meeting the substantial change of circumstances test for modification. I don't know if Judge Evans is aware, but under statute 61.13003, there doesn't need to be a substantial change of circumstances in order to motion for electronic communication, and in any case, the court shall order reasonable telephonic communication. By completely dismissing my motion, Judge Evans has violated this statute. She also will not allow me to call my ex wife as a witness, stating that ex wife has been called by her attorney, and I've had the opportunity to cross examine. Which is great until you realize that cross examination is only for more iniformation regarding questions that have been asked by other counsel. judge Evans' disallowance of calling witnesses violates the Due Process Clause of the United States Constitution.

This woman needs to be off the bench. She doesn't ask important questions and dismisses evidence. Literally just got up and walked away without saying anything at the end. I wasn't allowed to answers the opposite parties questions because she literally just sat there and wouldn't tell him to let me answer and I was told not to interrupt him. Even lawyers know she doesn't do her job right.

If you are dealing with family law. This is the worst judge you could possibly get. If DCF is involved you definitely don't want her defending the child. Because she won't. If you are a male. And handsome.. you win. Automatic this judge gets her panties wet immediately. She goes as far as completely ignoring anything she hears and sides with the handsome guy in the suit. Even if the allegations are child molestation.
She had DCF and Charlotte county detective in front of her to help a mother and her 24mth old daughter. The poor child was victim of the father sexually. ?? Factual evidence. Child verbally expressed that her father was inappropriately touching her. Detective was there bc he was under investigation for brutality attacking ex wife and breaking her neck. Just six months before. Mary told everyone she wasn't going to listen to any more. End of story. Looked at wife, the mother of the child and literally said, get over your ex. Wow.
She should be held accountable for the child's mental health and physical wellbeing. She shouldn't be aloud to rule out just on her opinion. She's a disgrace and has put children back in violent situations. She's a drama queen and a bully. And should be fired .
She can never fix the lives she's damaged. God help us.

Judge Evans sits as a family law judge. She seems unable or unwilling to understand complex legal arguments. She is extremely slow in making decisions, which simply compounds the frustration and expense associated with family law cases. Further, she overwhelmingly favors men, especially those in the military, and attorneys she hung out with prior to becoming a Judge. One of the worst Judges around. Such a shame because she is handling a very important docket.

This judge does not care about the best interest of the children. Does not let people talk except the males, ignoring witnesses who have pertinent information pertaining to the father seeking reunification.Does not remember when she asked the father to show the proof of allegations his previous case worker told him he lost parental rights and that was his reason for leaving the State and having no contact with the children for almost 2 years. Often gives snide remarks to DCF, and the guardian....She is obviously out to up her number of reunification without taking the children's best interest in account. She loves to flirt with the male attorneys and men seeking reunification do NO wrong!

Judge Evans is not intelligent and she is not a good judge. Her judgment is poor and she is often biased. Like the prior reviewer, I have also had a chance to sit in on many of Judge Evans’s hearings. She is one of the least impressive and most disappointing judges I have ever seen.

As a lawyer who has had the chance to sit in on many hearings before Judge Evans, I find her to be fair and patient when it comes to deciding her cases. Judge Evans does her best to follow the law while also reaching the best outcome for all parties involved.

I am a private practitioner and have been appearing before Judge Evans for several years, both in Collier and Charlotte Counties. She is a diligent, prompt, and very able judge, and she works very hard to ensure that the parties receive an equitable result. I have also seen her preside over some extremely egregious domestic violence cases, and she presided over those matters with both grace and fairness.

This judge got sent to another county because she was having an affair with her bailiff. She does not have the moral fortitude to be a judge. It is unfortunate she had to leave Collier County because she really fit in with all the other good old boys on the bench in Collier County. No judge can get it right all the time. This judge doesn’t even care. For her, its a popularity contest.

Terrible. Waste of 3 years and thousands upon thousands of dollars. Judge didnt enforce any child support, issued a final judgment with so many errors it took another year for the 4th amended judgment to be issued (still with errors). Now having to pay more money so the state I live in now can even collect child support from ex. She is slow and completely disregarded professional testimony. Not sure how she became a judge as her judgment seems to be the furthest thing from fair and unbiased. If she really had children's best interests in mind, I wouldnt be living paycheck to paycheck paying all kids bills myself and having to deal with an ex who cancels the every-other-weekend visitation she gave him.

Judge Evans controls her docket by denying facially sufficient motions and injunctions, only granting hearings on injunctions (instead of issuing temporary injunctions) which puts true victims at more risk, and is incapable of having a judicial temperament. She is a danger to any litigant, represented or otherwise, in the 20th Circuit.

This judge appears to have no basic comprehension about what "due process" means. With this judge, we could probably just have her more favored attorney or litigant send in a proposed order and not waste time on the facts of a case.
