I am not a lawyer, but your telling me the comment you made in 2014= your deal is still not settled? honestly I can't totally understand your case as a gay person i would say just go get another kid... sorry life is tough but it don't sound like you have many options

Worst judge I have seen. First trial I didn't get to take the stand at all, he literally screamed at the top of his lungs at my attorney to "shut up!" over and over until his face turned red. Very unprofessional. Almost exact same story for me as comment# ID29. I was guilty until proven innocent from the start. Would not accept police reports of me trying to pick up my child from a babysitter and told me Cassia County police are not a legitimate business and he would not accept, therefore it never happened. I had doctors notes to prove my child was taken care of. I had to play his game for 1 year paying $100 an hour to visit my child. I still bought the maximum time with baby, went as much as they would allow. I live out of state also which was a long drive. He would never accept any drug tests from any other legal facility as it had to go into Burleys pocket. I never missed or failed a single test as that wasnt an issue. I did everything he asked. And then he still just gave my kid away. I was going through a divorce and left my child with my grandmother for 3 weeks to find a place and work as my ex husband (babys father) was overseas. They never even notified him of any of this! Not once through the whole case did he hear a word from this court or anyone. He returned to the US to find his baby was gone, cant ever see her until she's 18. And my ex husband was a great father and didnt deserve this either. Come to find my grandmother never even had my kid, she lied every time I called to talk to her she said she was sleeping or in the bath, gave her to her friends without telling me and I get custody battle papers. On one of my drives out of state I got a flat tire and had to call to reschedule as I would probably be late. Told me they would reschedule. I never received any documentation or notice on this rescheduled date and apparently missed it. When I called asking about my court date they told me the judge gave my kid up for closed adoption. Excuse me!?! I always made it to everything regarding this court, paid everything and got one flat tire and lose my kid forever. Ok so other than that there was nothing to see me as unfit. What about my ex husband? He came to see his baby and some small town judge has the right to say we can never see her? Mick Hodges not once ever even asked about the father as if he didnt have rights. Mick Hodges had the audacity to tell me during court that Asians are disgusting and live in boarding homes and he will never put a kid in a boarding home. Which is not even true. We had our home, a nice home, just us. He is a racist to suggest such a thing. The "Good ol' Boy System is definitely running these small towns in Idaho and it needs to be investigated for the sake of these poor citizens. I'm sure they just feel there is nothing they can do and judge Hodges thinks he is the God of these people. He kinda is and shouldnt be awarded such a position. I'm pretty sure what he did is illegal, especially without notifying my ex husband at least. This is injustice and corruption at its finest. My attorney said we got "hometowned" by this judge. He just wasnt going to listen or give us any chance. Just kept leading me on to fill his pockets with $100 an hour supervised visits and burley drug tests and still doesn't give back a single right. Neither me nor my ex husband ever signed anything, let alone closed adoption. I dont see how he can do this to people without any reason. I cant even see my kid now. Yeah I was going through a divorce it was for the best and a hard time but to lose a kid forever for what? She deserves to AT LEAST have all 4 parents in her life. Biological and adopted then. To sit there and pretend like her parents just didnt want her while her adopted parents and Mick all try so hard to keep us away isn't right. This is the type of stuff that can drive a person insane when there is NOTHING you can do to please this judge. Mick Hodges ruins lives and doesn't lose a bit of sleep over it. Why can't I see my baby? I need at least one reason. This is the definition of evil.

Does not listen to both sides. Decides guilty until proven innocent and does not allow clear evidence or for the defendant to even take the stand. Makes irrelevant, unbiased accusations without any evidence to support it. Says that police reports supporting what the defendant says to be true is just hearsay and that Cassia County police are not a legitimate business. Refuses to accept negative drug tests when taken in the hometown of the defendant and not in his town. Takes away all parental rights without any reason, whatsoever, even with a great report from the child's doctors and lack of any evidence stating otherwise. Doesn't think about what is in the best interest of the people or children.
