This judge has no clue regarding the severity of any type of drug withdrawals. Saw this judge issue a remand even when both the state and persons attorney were in agreement of no jail(this person was in a methadone treatment program) This judge claims how bad the opioid epidemic is but doesn’t bother to educate himself on it and the preventative measures behind it. People of Lake County, let’s get this closed minded person out of the court room. He abuses his power. We voted him in, let’s not keep voting for him.

In 2012...Judge Strickland said, quote, "I don't care about the Lake County Rules or the Law. " "I am the judge so therefore I am the law. " "Now have it made that clear to you?".

I value this judge and his opinions. This judge took his time and heard the facts on both sides. He protected a child from his mother (who was an extreme alcoholic), and he gave protection to the child by turning over the child to the father. With all the emotions that went along with this case, Judge Strickland made a tough decision and did the right thing. Thank goodness there are judges out there who can truly look out for the welfare of a child.

This judge was completely prejudiced against me as soon as he found out that I would be representing myself, since I do not have the funds to hire an attorney.
