Take a SOJ if you get this Judge. Nothing positive to say other than she is usually on time.

Comments:
Nancy Jo Arnold been in the Chancery Division for nearly 9 years. She knows the law, allows people to argue their cases and gets it right most of the time. I've never noticed her to "wear her emotions on her sleeve." I do defense work, and she has ruled in my favor twice (in the summary judgment context) and granted a motion to dismiss that was adverse to me (I was representing the plaintiff that time).

She has no apparent bias and she is actually one of the few who I do vote to retain, come election time.

Comments:
Very poor judicial temperament; wears her emotions on her sleeve. Too bad, because she seems very intelligent.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL102
Rating:6.0
Comments:
Like too many Cook County judges, reluctant to grant summary judgment for defendant with weak reasons for denial.
