Can You Say Bi-Polar! This judge flies off the handle over very minor things! Slams Defendants with absurd sentences IN WHICH HE USED TO BE A Public Defender for 18 years making supervisor OF SUCH DIVISION but yet seems to be pro-State! My advice to anyone who gets him is to exercise the SOJ & avoid a real control freak here! The inside word is that Judge Gaughan is Really "Gone" between the Lawyers who know him. I also Noticed him coaching the State on how to prosecute their cases, the Guy needs to make up his mind here, is he a Judge or a Prosecutor, he can't be both, except for in his little controlling world!

He gives out long sentences for first offenses like candy. He is totally influenced by his personal opinion and doesn't interpret the law by the Constitution......he should retire !

I find Judge Gaughn rude and insincere. I question his dedication to the process and find he takes the easy way out. He reads words even if they have no true bearing on an individual. In a hurry to get rid of cases that make him angry.
