Judge Duncan Brice is a mediocre plus jurist. She is intelligent and capable. However, she is downright awful with settlement conferences. She has biases based on identity and age of attorneys before her. Many civil defense attorneys love her--I am one who views her as so so. There are worse, there are better.

She works very hard and very well with lawyers in all phases of litigation. She has good experience in civil litigation and uses it well. She is especially good in settlement conferences. She is a very bright and competent judge.
