Comments:
This judge does not seem to understand the concept of economic distress/coercion and fraud. She lets banks get away with murder, while ruling against the non-banker. If you are pursuing a case against a bank, get another judge. She will side with the bank regardless of their flimsy evidence. Poor application of the law.

Comments:
Extraordinarily slow--mentally and otherwise. 3-4 months to get a hearing on a fully briefed motion.....tentative and unsure of herself...clearly over her head.

Comments:
Very, very nice lady. She is both diligent and thorough. However, Judge McGrath lacks the analytical skills required to handle legally complex matters.

Comments:
Indecisive and likes to "split the baby" and doesn't move things along. But, probably in top half of judges in Circuit Court.

Comment #: IL177
Rating:8.6
Comments:
Excellent demeanor. Very pleasant personality. Thinks carefully before ruling and generally appears to have carefully read the material. Doesn't prejudge anything. Takes her position and responsibility very seriously.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL115
Rating:8.4
Comments:
Did a good job trying case between very contentious litigants and attorneys. Seemed very fair and willing to bar evidence that could come in as too prejudicial. Can be pretty gutsy in taking the right issues away from a jury.
