Litigant

Comment #: IL3729
Rating:2.0
Comments:
Judge Funk is fine when his insular, local-yokel mentality and limited worldview aren't challenged or exposed. With difficult cases, Judge Funk loses his composure, resorts to puerile acting-out and defaults to making up his mind before (and in spite of) evidence being presented. Probably best that Judge Funk stay local as his myopic mindset does not lend to anything outside the scope of the simple and the familiar.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL3372
Rating:9.5
Comments:
Very even tempered and lets everyone have their say at hearing. He is reluctant, however, to deviate from existing case law. So don't expect him to make any new law or extend existing law. He will only make a dispositive ruling based on a case that is exactly on all fours with your facts and law.
