Very low / limited ability. Positive posts are attorneys attempting sway over him. Friend of some young kid who got a divorce in the area because his father, a once prominent attorney in the area knew him, likes to post positive things. Nonsense. They’ve done one another favors through their good ol’ boys network. To get into that network, this failing attorney had to do favors. The result? Poor practice, inability to resist bias, and very apparent injustice. Likes women in tight clothes.

There are laws in place to promote fairness to all....then there is you who feels he above the law and makes rulings to satisfy yourself or favorite attorneys.

This judge is a total disaster. Everyone knows it. This judge fails to arrive on time. This judge fails to read case details. This judge fails to look at the results of investigations he tells you to wait for. This judge bars the results of authentic investigations by the police and dcfs which tells you he is not interested in the truth. Maybe he will want to go work for a local firm (many others have after leaving the bench...see his predecessors). This judge is incredibly if not intentionally gullible and grossly incompetent at best. I sincerely hope for the sake of children, all cases he has been involved with are reviewed. My belief is he has been an arm of corruption in this county to scratch the back of a firm he wants to work for in the end.

This is the most hard working judge. First in the courthouse everyday. He reads all the motions before the court even begins. He just listens to se if there are new facts not put into the motions he already heard, He is fair unless you are peddling bullshit then he will come down on you. No nonsense. As to anyone who gave money to his campaign, he doesn't know who gave what. He was elected because so many attorneys liked how he handled his call.

There is a crazy woman who lost any contact with her kids because she acts crazy. She is writing all these untruthful comments. Beware.

~ Don’t feel helpless - file ardc (if applicable) on attorney , file judicial misconduct on attorney (if applicable ) and file suit on judge and GAL. Most litigants are unaware this can be done. Look up cases at appellate court and do not worry if you win or lose as everything has the ability to be appealed and most likely won at the appellate level. Calling dcfs, contacting neighbors, illegal seizures of bank accounts , etc. are all the tactics utilized by these illegal attorneys in Joliet whom are also part of the organized crime ring . Make your voice loud to the right groups outside the courtroom.

Biased; favors women, especially Latinas. Does absolutely nothing - sits and listens to attorneys, giving no chance to defend when OC makes accusations. Goes against his own, previous rulings. Had to hire an appeals attorney because the rulings he threatened to make in pre-trial meetings were flat out illegal. All has to happen in open court, with recorded objections so when the appeal happens, its all there. He does not review evidence. Just chews his pen and stares off in space. In the mean time, we are 50K into lawyers fees. And OC? She knows how he he is, and is using every bit of that information to lie, cheat, and steal. Horrible woman. But,we are not standing down. I'll work two jobs to expose this SOB if I have to - how he became a judge is beyond me.

Judge Garcia does not listen to the details associated with divorce cases. we are all just a number to him. Divorces are complex (especially when children are involved) and peoples lives are literally at stake. during my divorce, Judge Garcia allowed court orders to be broken by my ex. I filed motions for contempt of court and they haven't been heard to this day. We have a horrible, underqualified GAL in our case and Judge Garcia doesn't listen to any of my concerns when it comes to his GAL. I have never felt more hopeless in my life. I am supposed to be in a place of "Fairness", "Integrity", and "Justice" but I feel like I am at a circus instead. I can't believe that this Judge literally will just sit and listen to these attorneys, while most of the info fed to him are lies and I had physical proof these are lies but the judge won't hear it. I have asked to speak and Garcia denies my request stating "This is why you have an attorney, right?" Huh?? Will County needs to take a closer look at their Judges and if these judges aren't willing to take the time and have the patience to hear and properly judge complex cases, then they need to remove these judges and put a judge in who can meet these criteria. It's unfortunate, but our "justice system" stands up to the stigma of being broken and unjust. My divorce could have been long over and my child safe if Judge Garcia would actually look at the evidence and hear the truth.

After the circus this clown puts on in his courtroom it is apparent that anyone can put a robe on in Will County. The unethical practices, trying to intimidate (trying to), no clue on what goes on just listens to the attorneys who have extra curricular activities with him. New chief judge should really start opening his eyes as this is getting a lot of attention and I would hate to be on that sinking ship - on all ends.

Judge Garcia should not be presiding over any cases. He has repeatedly not heard the issues in my Divorce Case that has been going on for 3 years, includes an Order of Protection for which he gave legal advice to OC and Respondent to not testify in his court until after the Criminal Case was heard (because respondent violated the OOP not once, but 3X!). This is completely unprofessional and showed bias. He allowed actual video of abuse to be thrown out for the same issue (OOP) and then said to OC that he shouldn't have his client testify here... Now my divorce is on hold until after the Criminal Case. Temporary support was ordered in lieu of contempt for lack of producing financials - for 18 months - and I still do not have an order from the judge 3 weeks later! This judge repeatedly says things that aren't even details of our case which shows he has NO idea of the case whatsoever.

This Judge has no regard for children.
He does not listen to or read facts.
I have an indicated DCFS report against child's other parent and had an Order of protection and he dismissed my OOP and said send child back for visitation.

I have been in front of this Judge numerous times for Non payment of court ordered financials and each month he threatened other party with jail time if not paid. Other party would make a Minimal payment and Judge would say next month get current . Other party does not and judge does nothing.
He is the most disrespectful judge I have been up against.

He needs to be removed, there are children hurt daily and this is what he says send child back to abuser when there is a DCFS Indicated report. He did not even read report and would not hear anything from report.

I will not stop here to protect my child, I am going everywhere and anywhere to be sure he is removed and my child is safe.
this is absolutely absurd.

Please stop letting children not have a voice , I don't care what age they are if they can speak then he needs to let them in the courtroom. Children are humans too and have a right to make decisions when it comes to their safety.

I am beyond belief that the courts allow this and this Judge to continue to sit.

This Judge looked somehow calculates my support burden based upon the most I ever earned in my life when I earn 1/3 that much. I hardly see my kids as my ex is not asked to ever make them available or assist in any way in making them accessible.

Chews on his pen while watching his favorite attorney's conduct a circus before your very eyes. He is involved with money rings of several attorneys and supervisors. Beware: His favorite appointed parental supervisor is also his headchair judicial campaign fund holder, taking 2/3 of the funds for her own salary. They also magically let her become a witness and testify in child abuse cases - she is not certified, nor with permission of child victim to testify. This violates Dom. Violence Act and rights of a child abuse victim. Judge allows it of course. This judge allows his attorneys to harass pro se litigants. Does not allow pro se litigants to speak. Is highly rude to litigants, and threatens contempt of court if they try to speak. If you expose wrongdoings, he blows off the stand allowing rulings from his favors GAL and attorneys to hold children from their parents. I witness several years long litigations allowing hold-ups and continuances of children with innocent parents. Report him! If You see this happening, you have a duty to do so.

Judge Garcia runs a kangaroo courtroom. It’s time for his courtroom to be supervised. Litigants should start a petition and make his vigilant, explosive, and unlawful actions known to his constituents. Certainly he wasn’t put on the bench to behave the way he does, he is unfit. One cannot expect a fair hearing with him on the bench.

The way to win over this Judge is to show up with an attorney who donated to his campaign (google search) or with one of the “good old boys” he knows and have them shout out the most ridiculous lies and nonsense for you and he will sit and shake his head in agreement and not even listen to opposing counsel, no matter how absurd your attorneys ranting is and you will win! Wake up citizens of Will County. Do you really want someone on the bench who threatens every man and woman with jail? This Judge resorts to threats of jail on every other case for nonsense reasons at the cost of you- the TAXPAYER. He is extremely biased and bad tempered. This judge does not belong on the bench he has. No idea about the laws. He’s biased toward men he ruined my life !! I’m on SSDI and now I have to stop paying my creditors in order to pay the huge judgement he just pasted against me or I was going to jail ( this was not a child support case)
How ever you remove a judge from the bench it has to happen now. This man is not fit to be a judge

This “judge” resorted to name calling, threats and intimidation at the simple clarification requests. Not just my case, but every other person in the court room. Extremely unprofessional. I beg the Joliet paper editor to sit in on just one day of his court room operations and publish what they witnessed. He wouldn’t be in he bench much longer after that.

Had 50% raise so he tripled support then they. stopped about 10 k more. Very unfair. I earn at most one third my ex. I showed numbers and he said he doesn't know what it means. God help me my special needs child and two other dependents to survive.

Judge David Garcia's temperament makes him unfit for domestic relations hearings.
Judge Garcia ruled to determine late payments for child support when all payments were current. When I asked for clarification on what was late since all payments were current, he exploded and threatened to throw me in jail. Seeing that he was clearly annoyed with my request for clarification, I kept silent for fear of repercussions of his rage. As he wrote his order, the petitioner verbally embellished to the judge the context of communications between us. In response to her exaggerations, the judge belittled me and resorted to demeaning name calling. With him in the seat, his bias, temperament, and unprofessional demeanor created an unfair hearing of a relatively simple matter. He is intimidating and explosive and I cannot expect fair hearings for anyone with him in the seat.

Biased on salary couple earns, and perhaps ethnicity and rules settlement based on having "enough money in savings" and was informed by attorney that "he does not care, you make more than he does" That is not a fair review of situation, and has only proved to be a complete dismissal of all/any questions/concerns/claims just because of what we had in savings and ruled less than someone that makes 1/3 of our salary just because of our savings....just didn't care...should not be a judge without taking the time to listen to the facts

They say justice is blind. In this case it is also deaf. The opposing attorney made numerous false statements which were proven to that. Yet judge Garcia ruled in favor of the opposition. He is a very one sided judge who does not hear both sides. He has no consideration for anything to do with the truth, or facts.

Judge Garcia seems like a great guy. He was the judge in a child support case. He does not know the IMDMA factors for deviations and refused to hear arguments on them. He also refused to apply case law. The laws in Illinois are pro custodial parent by far and his jurisprudence reflects that. On these cases, he typically entertains equitable arguments only.

Garcia is NOT qualified to be a judge. He doesn't listen to the both sides of each case. I hear all attorneys making this exact statement below. He merely looks to the attorney he likes better and dicides his ruling based on that attorney recommendations he likes better. If a litigant is pro-se he will immediately side for the person with representation. He is uneducated, unfit and unfair to sit on a bench day after day screwing with people's lives and livelihoods. Please have him removed to serve as a judge from all civil courts immediately and indefinitely!
