Wonderful judge who remembers attorneys names and addresses them by name at status hearings. She expects litigants to be civil. Always willing to read what is presented and even do on-the-spot legal research to advance the issue presented. Very helpful during pre-trial settlement discussion.

Avoids making any decision that can possibly be appealed. Applies local rules arbitrarily and applies form over substance. She's nice in a passive aggressive manner.

Reads everything and tries her best to follow the law. Takes copious notes, pays attention to the arguments and gives everyone their "day" in court. The only downside to her is that she, like most judges, tends to favor "local" attorneys over those who do not regularly practice in Lake County. At the end of the day, however, I would not have a problem having her preside over any case that I have.
