Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL3433
Rating:1.0
Comments:
Beware. For the sake of your clients, use your SOJ on this one. Erratic moods (laughing with some counsel; yelling at others), unwillingness to hear of cites to pleadings he might have missed in review; and unfair biases (there appear to be many). In the same hearing - and without actually addressing the motions before him - dismissed both and then granted both and then transferred the case (counsel had to enter an agreed order disregarding the Judge's rants to get the motions heard before a different Judge). Something is not right.

Made a ruling on a dispositive motion in the morning and then vacated the same opinion in the afternoon without explaining why. Use your substitution motion.

Terrible judge

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL2190
Rating:1.9
Comments:
watched him come unglued at a lawyer in a hearing over a point of law about which he disagreed - and he was wrong. Shockingly excessive and bullying, one of the most uncomfortable displays i've witnessed in 15 years of practice

Civil Litigation - Private

Unpredictable and inconsistent.
