`Judge Dow is the worst judge EVER!!! She is definitely not about the best interest of the children that’s for sure. I truly think she is getting paid off by some lawyers. My ex was a total scum. My kids begged not to have to see him or his wife again. They were horrible to my kids. She believed everything his lawyer said and not the truth!!! My kids went through hell for 5 years until the police had to get involved. They found out what was really going on. They saved my kids. Will County wake up!!! GET RID OF HER

This is an evil pathetic human. The people that allow her to be a judge should be ashamed. She only has a job because her husband is a judge. So many attorneys despise her. She destroys the lives of parents and their children. Her judgement day is coming as she will spend eternity in hell.

This Judge, Did Complete Injustice in my case. The case had started with OP being approved. Before she took over the case she took all restrictions off. She Did not follow protocol, entering new attorney for opposing counsel, appointed a GAL. The Gal never investigated my side and just believed the other party, not even looking at physical proof of Domestic abuse by my ex spouse, she fabricated all her notes, when she realized court trial was coming up. Didnt have anything reviewed or verified on my side. Judge just trusted the GAL without asking for notes of my side. She had humiliated and even had said prior to trial. That she was going to Remove my children custody from me. Threatened to tell other judges that i was a garbage of a mother. Never gave me a chance to tell my story. She took me out of the Marital Home, not allowing me to take ANYTHING. I pray someone looks into her work. For the safety of children involved.

Couldn’t even speak without her yelling and saying she never wants me in her court again. I hope not. Will request another judge. So rude and childish. She’s nice to people with lawyers. She believed everything my ex said and shut me down if I tried to produce the facts. Piece of garbage.

I’m so glad that I could leave a review as I’ve been talking about Judge Dow with my family and friends for the last 2 weeks. I love her and found her to be extremely professional and no nonsense. Definitely not the Judge to try and get over on, you will absolutely be told off quick.

This judge requires therapeutic counseling due to her inability to act as a professional and her demonstration of immaturity such as growling and gritting her teeth while speaking to people, showing a drunkenness of power because she makes decisions over people lives and her enjoyment of belittling people in public to make herself look good. I’m not sure what happened to her in the teenage years but she definitely suffered from not being asked to prom. It would do Will County a favor to have her removed so she can take time and pursue another career that suits her better, such as a pole dancer where she can receive all of the emotional attention that she requires. She demonstrates signs and symptoms of bipolar personality disease and needs to be looked at by the higher ups. You have no chance if she hasn’t had a chance to get her hair done or if her make up doesn’t look right, it’s hell for
all that becomes before her. As unattractive as she is, she still wants to be seen as something that she is not… good luck!

OMG I thought it was just me! I read so many comments that related to my case exactly. Judge Dow is the reason why I have given up on the court system. She's the type of person that would lock up a innocent person in a heartbeat. I am in disbelief as to how my Disneyland dad of my twins who only had weekend visits, has managed to get custody of my twins, and now I'm paying him child support!!! Without any negligence found against me AT ALL! I am pro-se, he had 2 attorneys. During court, I was not allowed to speak, present my proof of the father's lies, called a bad mother, yelled at, accused of giving up on one of my twins, disregarded, disrespected and ignored. I was brought to tears every single time, and had to miss a few court dates in between, due to my mental sanity. The reason why my kids were taken from me; 1 twin said I was being too strict because I would take away his phone privileges when he would get into trouble. The 2nd twin was thriving, doing well, on the honor roll, an 8-yr established football player in his area, and was forced to move almost an hour away with his father. Judge Dow has managed to destroy my kid's well-being, dreams, and have them taken from me, without any investigation done on me or their father. That judge didn't give a damn about me, my kids future or their best interests. I did everything for my children, at every game, school activity and parent teacher conference, father rarely seen. My children was taken from me FOR NO REASON AT WAS ALL!
I'm all for signing a petition to have Judge Dow removed IMMEDIATELY!

Judge Dow is the worst Judge who needs to evaluated for her own ability to judicially make sound decisions without her own invocation of self control. She is rude, yells and has tantrums in the bench not allowing her to utilize the facts of the case. She would let a convicted felon get off because she biased and cares more about the ABUSER than the one being abused. She is known to continue cases with no movement for months and make them worse off than when they started.
She vacated a current Order of Protection and allowed a Father to have visitation with his kids who has a record of Abuse, record of Violation of the current OP in place and files false reports to DCFS. Not a sound Lawyer agreed with why you would do this but the Lawyers are scared of her too.
Again, this Judge needs to evaluated for her ability to DO HER JOB and other attention to the facts vs her feelings.

Very good judge, I practiced in front of her doing order of protections and parentage cases about 5 years ago (might have that timeframe wrong) was my favorite draw between the two rooms.

this judge is bias more likely to males. she often speaks quite disrespectfully to females in particular. she refuses to use the law to back up her decisions. she is often not considerate of entire facts which are plainly in favor of the female. she is rude. she deliberatly holds people over for court in cases to privately embarrass them. she has physically almost assaulted me in open court, when she threw papers at me. if you challenge her authority she makes you pay even if you have a valid stance that should be in your favor.

If you are Pro Se she has less patience for your case. She is rude and short tempered. If she is well versed in the law one would never know as she spends much of the time raising her voice. If you have an attorney present she is just as nice and even-tempered as ever.

This judge is the worst, she is a bully, plain and simple. She has personal relationships with various attorneys and tends to rule in favor of their clients. She should not be a civil servant. She will belittle anyone she dislikes by screaming at them. Her favorite term to use is "grow up" to subjects in her courtroom.

#1. Who manages the behavior of judges because this woman needs to be reprimanded for the way she speaks to others and presides in our country.

#2. This women was rude, condescending, biased and overall a disgrace to women.

#3. I pray that this judge is taken off the bench, it will be in favor to ALL cases in the justice system.

The court case I was witness to, lasted for around 3 minutes. The defendant didn't even get to present facts, nor was even asked to present facts. She said "This is Silly" "Plaintiff, you will receive whatever you asked for". and just like that.....Custody was taken away from a great father.

I am EXTREMELY Saddened by this judges behavior.

This is the most biased judge I have ever seen. She has clear favoritism with certain attorneys. The opposing attorney completed lied in court and the judge paid no attention to our attorney. In fact, we have had three different attorneys tell us how biased she is. She rolled her eyes all the while our attorney spoke and looked at the opposing counsel as if she were in love. I do not understand how she is wearing the robe. Even the court reporter was shocked at the antics that were allowed in her court room.

This woman has no business being a judge. Her decisions are based on favoritism. She can’t adapt to the twist and turns of divorce. If you do not have representation, you don’t have a chance. She is condescending and lacks humanity. She clearly has the inability to listen and judge fairly. This woman needs to be removed. She is a robot and does a disservice to the people of will county. Judge Dow handled my divorce and totally lacked compassion and understanding. As I stood in front of her with my soon-to-be ex, I asked to put our case on the reconciliation calendar. She asked my ex what he wanted,being mad at that moment, he said he didn't want that, that he wanted to go through with it. I attempted to explain I thought it would be beneficial because we were working on our issues and still living as husband and wife. Judge Dow said, "If you don't go through with this divorce today, I'll have you back here and decide everything for you and you won't like that." My divorce went through that day. In the parking lot, my ex told he made a mistake. It's now 8 months later and we are still living together, going to counseling and working on our marriage. Had she put us on the reconciliation calendar, a lot of hurt would have been avoided. She was very rude to me without reason.

Judge Elizabeth Dow is a breath of fresh air. She is smart, fair and competent and calls people out on their BS. The judge we had prior to her was horrible - kept the system going but never solved any problems. Judge Dow gets to the bottom line sooner than later and let’s justice prevail. I wish all judges were like her!

This judge handled my case unfairly. She stated on record once a marriage settlement agreement was signed, “she no longer wanted to see the whites of my eyes.” She was biased from the start since she is needed to interpret the MSA if there is a question or problem that arises during the time it is in effect. My ex-husbands attorney actually had to step in as an officer of the court and point out that her ruling was wrong. A judge has to be way off base for your ex-husbands lawyer to stand up for the truth!

Fair, attentive and honest. I look forward to seeing her or someone like her running for a public office. She approaches each situation with an open mind and doesn't carry over any emotion or judgement from a previous case. I'm glad to have her as a judge in my county.
