The so called Honorable Demling didn't listen to a single fact, every time I tried to present a new fact, he cut me off in mid sentence and denied my case completely.

He is without a doubt the most biased and unreasonable judge in DuPage. I had to check to make sure he had 2 ears, because he never used them.

It's a shame that when you finally get your case to court, the judge is too occupied to listen.

He is a travesty of justice.

Judge Demling was very fair and listened to all of our facts before he made his decision. I come from a multi-cultural marriage and he took time to understand both sides before resolving the issue of custody. I didn't get everything I wanted but felt that I was treated kindly. My attorney was also pleased with how Judge Demling resolved the case.

In this Judge's court room, you can expect the financial settlement to proceed the custody portion of the divorce, the exact opposite of proper procedure; or at least for the evidence to be shaped (or created) by both attorneys (working as one) to support the desired outcome and to be used as leverage in the custody portion of the proceeding.

In this courtroom, you should not be surprised if the attorney you have retained to represent you systematically undermines your case by withholding legal advice at key decision points and by applying deception and pressure to force substantial errors on the part of their client; all designed to support the predetermined outcome which may proceed the collection of any evidence, if the evidence is produced at all. The attorneys appear to be quite comfortable operating in this fashion in this courtroom.

Either this Judge is completely unaware of what is transpiring in his courtroom; or, he actively participates by allowing it to happen as long as his fingerprints are not traceable to the shaping of the predetermined outcome. I don't know which possibility is more disturbing.

A reasonable question to ask is: Does this judge harbor strong biases against litigants because of their race, ethnic origin, creed, gender or sexual orientation.

Comments:
This Judge has gross apparent bias in many arenas. He lets his personal bias stand in the way of fair and even handed judgements. His relationships with attorneys and firms is very clear in how he handles cases and critical decisions that deal with peoples lives. Facts are not something this judge cares about nor uses in the course of a divorce case.

Judge Demling has a specific bias towards certain law firms no matter what the facts of the case. He also shows specific bias towards these firms with fees and other items
