Horrible. Extremely bias. Refused to actually look at facts. I have a MBA in global business, with a minor in globalenterprise. Watching him railroad people without hearing any actual facts is absurd. Saying hearsay fir first account knowledge is unacceptable. I have never encountered a more ignorant person. He should be debarred. Definitely will try to create a class action against him. Based on this site, seems very possible. Thanks for allowing this page.

JUDGE RAYMOND COLLINS WAS A MESS. If he stays in that courthouse, he’ll continue to DESTROY its once honorable 19th Judicial Circuit court name. He was a HORRENDOUS DIVORCE JUDGE. If his wife ever needs a witness for her divorce one day... I’m easy to locate. #KARMA

Thank God he is out family court and in traffic court where he is not a danger to children. What a tool. He is very impressed with himself. Now he's in traffic court. How impressive is that?

He was part of the vaginocracy that is Lake County Courthouse.

Do not face this "Judge" without a lawyer. He does not listen to pro-se litigation, especially if the other party has an attorney. Judge Collins typically sides with mother on matters, but can be "bought" if agreements are made prior to call time. He does grant extensions if both parties are on the cusp of an agreed order.

Everything written below about Judge matches my experience. He is biased against fathers. He ignores facts. And he plays with other people's lives and money as if he were playing monopoly. He is a horrible judge and by extension a horrible human being...

He refuses to make a ruling other than to enforce what is in place without hearing evidence. He tells personal stories of his life,which is not relevant to his cases and assumes twisted parties are telling the truth if they have a big lawyer. Look up his shariah law appeal fiasco. Total loser who ruins lives.

First time meeting with this Judge and I seen first hand what all the other stated in their own experience. Lazy, biased, Court orders without reviewing case, waited 4 hours and his ruling lasted about 4 minutes. I see what my intuition told me walking out the courtroom and I will be filing a complaint because competency in cases is lacking for many years and it’s 2019 and he is still around practicing the same poor habits in his court rooms. Unacceptable!!

The defendant is not given the respect that he or she deserves. The defendant's attorney has not been allowed to present the case before Collins has made a decision. He didn't even let defendant's attorney sit down before ruling against defendant. There is no justice in his courtroom. I have documents that prove he made the wrong decision and will gladly share this with any media reporter or review panel who wants to see it, but only if they actually intend to do something about it.

How To Possibly Sue a Judge
Note: this information was submitted by a Constitutional Attorney years ago who since has said this rarely works anymore. One must keep in mind that we are not a country of laws anymore. We are a country where laws are creatively interpreted. This means you can go in with all the case law on point A and the court will decide the case on point D, Section 3B. The courts routinely back pedal on deciding cases that go against the status quo, especially in the cases involving judicial immunity. This is not intending to discourage you from seeking relief - just know many times the relief you get will be the embarrassment and publicity you bring to the wrongdoer. If Everyone Did This Every Time They Experienced Legal Misconduct We Would Not Be In This Mess.

A RAT deserves more respect than this XXXJudge demonstrates toward PEOPLE in court. I have never witnessed such a God complex in a man. I would not want to ever have to be in the position of a judge but pray that if I were that I would remember that "there is a God and that I am not IT.

Judge Raymond Collins needs to “ clean house.”
His court Clerk, Sondra,prevents cases from being entered in computer, deletes photo Curtesy Copies to the judge, allows lawyers to enter file folders in the court room while ignoring what lawyer removes, therefore, this judge never reads them...because of SondraAbuse of Justice for one ex spouse. Forever.

This Judge allows non-custodial parents with attorneys to walk free with years and often with over $30K in outstanding child supports, simply because they are represented by an attorney.
While a custodial parents, often with multiple children, who cannot afford to hire an attorney are dragged through years of court continuances and motions with no resolution. He never reads any motions, and just goes of what the attorneys say, and if only one party is represented by an attorney, he doesn't allow the other party to talk or respond.
Evidently, the well-being and interest of the children are last on his "best interest" list.

This is not only atrocious, but also odd.

If you are looking to get a fair shot, this is not the guy. Attorneys and litigants beware.
He does not know the law. He does not read the papers. He does not
listen to the arguments. An extremely disrespectful and unprofessional demeanor. Very ivory tower kind of guy disassociated with reality. Extremely arbitrary in decision making. This is an individual who should not be on the bench or even be practicing law. In many respects he represents everything wrong with the legal system. Textbook incompetence. Definitely something off with this guy. He's not normal. There is somethings wrong with him, This judge is one of the worst I have encountered in 25 years of practicing family law
I just hope they move him quickly as he is up for re-election in 3.5 months.

After observing a trial that this Judge presided over I have to wonder if the only purpose of his court is to allow women to beat up on men. His conduct was very poor, and he lacked any common sense as to what was occurring in his court room. I sincerely hope when the case gets appealed this judge will be help accountable for his poor performance.

He runs a kangaroo court. If you don’t have an attorney he gets upset because then he actually has to think and he can’t. He sounds like he has dementia and he needs to retire. He’s not doing anyone any service except his ego. Ask for a different judge if you are assigned him. There is no justice in his court, just a lot of ranting to cover up the dementia. He is notoriously late and inconsiderate

Raymond D. Collins Has no respect for Illinois law. He doesn't read anything submitted because he couldn't care less about the law. He drastically favors one party over the other and violates the Illinois Constitution on a daily basis.
if he decides he doesn't like your client-- that's it. You won't even have the chance to present any exculpatory evidence. He blocks you at every turn to thwart justice. Just throw in the the towel once he's made up his mind. No amount of evidence or legal merit will sway him.
From my personal experience, I really doubt this judge has the necessary scholarship to be court judge. He refuses to draft an order beyond one word: DENIED or GRANTED. So he ends up rubber stamping any order put in front of him no matter how unlawful it may be.

As I continue to review some recent actions by this Judge. It occurs to me he does not recognize how the divorce process has been weaponized by spouses to injure their significant other in the court room. He needs to wake up and stop pretending the system is ok.

He is a very lazy judge, who really couldn't care less about moving your case along. He allowed a case of mine to drag on for numerous years, allowing the other side countless adjournments. If you want to see how he will talk to you or your opponent, just stay five minutes in his courtroom. He talks over you in a very condescending manner. He also barely looks at you. Out of the blue, and then he wanted nothing to do with the case out of total embarrassment.
