Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL3924
Rating:3.6
Comments:
Told defendant atty that she believed case was worth nothing in public meeting (based upon reliance on ex parte facts that she believed but were not in the case), totally sidetracked settlement until day of trial. Horrible at settlement/mediation.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL3085
Rating:2.0
Comments:
Very opinionated. Doesn't listen. Huge ego. Once said that assigning her to a pre trial courtroom was like assigning a master chef to McDonalds.

For more info Google her.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL1561
Rating:8.9
Comments:
Runs a no nonsense call, handles the call efficiently. Extremely fair, very reasonable and scholarly. Great demeanor and very respectful.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL642
Rating:1.7
Comments:
Awful, awful, awful judicial temperament. Sometimes she's all smiles; other times she spits venom... for no apparent reason. At least when Judge Flanagan is rude, there's normally a reason for it.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL390
Rating:1.5
Comments:
Clearly defense oriented and gives short shrift to arguements.

Comment #: IL347
Rating:Not Rated
Comments:
Judge Brewer is one of the few judges who actually cares about being fair and doing a good job. It is obvious that she does her homework and is very knowledgeable about each of the cases she hears. She takes the time that is needed to hear both sides. She doesn't take any crap and knows when someone is trying to pull a fast one. All judges should be like Judge Brewer!

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL246
Rating:9.0
Comments:
Having Brewer in the Divorce Division is a waste of a jurist. She should be transferred to the Commercial Calendar and/or Chancery. She works hard and has a good head on her shoulder. If Evans really cared about that place (yeah, right), he would transfer Brewer to a better call.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL207
Rating:9.3
Comments:
Judge Brewer is one of the brightest judges in the system. She cares deeply about doing a good job, and does so; although of late, she appears to be a bit weary of the divorce division.
