Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL4341
Rating:1.9
Comments:
She does not prepare. She literally copies from briefs without even correcting typos or correcting for the fact that an order comes from her. She does not appear to read briefs or authorities. She does not know the rules (i.e., required briefing on an objection to a motion for summary judgment on the basis that discovery was not yet closed - where she would not even set a closure date). In more than 30 years of experience in civil litigation - with experience before some poor judges, she may be the absolute worst.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL4260
Rating:2.3
Comments:
I am not sure whether the Judge has actual bias or prefers not to deal with matters she deems petty, but she seems to cut a lot of slack to attorneys she knows, and ostracizes other parties. She has a bad temperament, has suspect rulings, and is condescending to "outsiders." Been in front of a lot of Judges- she stands out, and for all the wrong reasons, especially being unnecessarily snippy. She appears decisive though.

Elected on qualifications that are for the wrong criteria rather than temperament, fairness and being poisoned by her predecessor Margaret Brennan the most notorious judge that overshadows the Greylord scandal.
