She's involved but her pre-trial demeanor and prejudices are so obvious it only embolden the side she favors to ask for more and be less likely to compromise. She cares not about equal protection, precedent or due process. When she takes a side she ADVOCATES for that side without requiring the attorney to do so. She structure their defense/response in a manner that tells the counsel she supports how to respond. Not judicial at all. Terrible for FAMILIES

By Far the WORST judge in Illinois. Epitome of what a judge should not be. Bias against fathers, minorities, condescending, makes up facts, favoritism to certain attorneys, angers easily when position questioned or challenged, taints the records to sabotage appeal. Listens only for testimony to support her predetermined views. Use your SOJ (Substitution OF Judge) before she opens her mouth.
If too late, You BETTER HAVE A COURT REPORTER EVERYTIME!! No judicial temperamental. You will thank me.

I appreciate Ellen L Flannigans Job on the bench. I personally had a case with her and I think she was extremelly fair to both sides. Working Pro-Se, she had opened ears and handled the situation at hand extremely fair. As long as you come in prepared and you act professional she will treat you with dignity and respect. She takes her time on decisions and speaks very clearly to each and every party. I highly recommend Judge Flannigan as your Judge in family Court.

One of the worst judges in Cook County. Calls good people "gangbangers", indiscriminately drug tests minorities, and breaks families up.
