I am elated and thrilled that he is off the bench. He conducted himself with extreme arrogance, rudeness, impatience, and nastiness. His absence from the judiciary is a great gain for the People of the State of Illinois and for mankind as well. He took great pleasure in berating, intimidating, and insulting people because he knew that there was no check on his horrible judicial demeanor. His antics on the bench brought great disrepute to the legal profession and to human decency. When he was off the bench, he acted like he was your best friend which illuminated and demonstrated how phony he was. Good Riddance

Fecarotta has little regard for the law and routinely allows his own mood or personal experiences to cloud his judgment. Today I appeared before him and he violated my probation because I am taking prescribed mood stabilizers. He claims that he wants anyone on HIS probation to be completely drug free. As punishment, he canceled my probation and restarted it as "intensive drug probation" basically canceling out the previous 8 months I have been on probation. In addition, on my last court date he said that after that day, he didn't want me on any medication or drugs or else. Well I was never tested after that day. They tested me right after court and never again. Therefore, any results of a urine screen should not have been taken into consideration because they were collected before the judge made his ruling. Either way, the drug I was positive for is prescribed by a doctor and I have the paperwork to prove it. He didn't even bother looking at it. In addition, the public defenders in his courtroom are really lackluster too because they're all afraid of him so are unable to stand up to him and actually argue for their clients. The one I worked with today refused to talk to me before we went in front of the judge and once she had a private conference with the state and apparently the judge (I did not agree to a 402 so not sure how this is even legal) about my sentence, she hurriedly thrust some papers in front of me for my signature telling me that an "offer" had already been agreed upon by the judge and the state. All I had to do was sign my life away. When I tried to explain to the PD that this was really an injustice because I have a valid prescription and should not be penalized for taking meds I must have in order to stay well, she became visibly frustrated and told me rather flippantly that I could just not agree to the terms and "take my chances" at a hearing, I chose to agree to their offer. However, I'm really not happy about it. Even the representative from Adult Probation made a point to apologize to me for "everything that happened." After today, I'm considering filing an appeal but am truly afraid that he might be so angry with me for not respecting his original ruling that he would punish me in his verdict. Suggestions anyone??? Help is appreciated.

This man seems to take pleasure in berating, intimating and humiliating all those who stand before him. The fact that he is allowed to remain on the bench is a testament to a broken and failed system.

He is a complete jerk. I have no use for him and I have not seen a judge act in such an undignified manner. He is an embarrassment and he has no business being on the bench. His presence on the bench is outright despicable. He needs to be removed from the bench.

I've been an attorney since 1995 and I've never seen a judge like him. He is completely unsuitable for the bench. His demeanor is tyrannical and haranguing. His presence on the bench brings the entire profession of law into disrepute.

This judge tries to scare everyone, and threatens those who do not bow down to his greatness. He is arbitrary and lacks knowledge. He is the worst example of what a judge should be. He is an example of what a judge should not be.

He is rude and insulting to everyone. He jumps on police officers and lawyers who may look the wrong way or not pay attention to his rants. He makes his own motions, and interjects himself just for his own amusement.

This self-proclaimed "godlike" judge should not be on the bench. He is probably the worst judge that I have ever encountered in 45 years of practice. He is a legend in his own mind.
