Civil Litigation - Private

Comments:
I agree with the other litigants and so does the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Bar. She handled my divorce several years ago; reversed her decisions, had no interes in my children ages 3 & 5 at the time; and was rude and unprofessional.

This Judge should be disbarred. I have been in litigation since 2009 - Will lose my home, not an equitable split and she tells me "it's water under the bridge". Heartless and I have a 15 year old son who was collateral damage and she could not have cared less. She actually flipped a coin to divide dogs my ex clearly never even paid for. After he broke in and stole my furniture she actually said "well he needed furniture too". Tragedy on every level!!!

Judge Murphy shows an overall lack of respect to the law, and to male defendants in her courtroom, regardless of the welfare of the child(ren) involved.

Civil Litigation - Private

Rating:1.0
Comments:
Lisa Ruble-Murphy is a terrible judge who won't make decisions...She has made decisions in divorce cases and has hurt many who shouldn't be hurt. She's an embarassment to the legal system...Her tenure and attitude ride the system..Just because her husband cheated on her , she shouldn't take that out in the court room

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL374
Rating:1.5
Comments:
Lisa Ruble-Murphy is riding the system; she's often late; disinterested in her cases; shows boredom and disrepsect to litigants and has no interest in upholding the goal of family law to protect children. As a professional in private business she'd be fired within a week.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL209
Rating:3.2
Comments:
Judge Ruble-Murphy is one of the tragedies of the divorce division. She is quite bright, but she simply puts everything off, ignoring the plight of the litigants in front of her. Your client will starve to death before this judge will lift a finger. She is often unavailable from 2 pm - 3 pm on. She has substantial political clout and knows it so she just doesn't care what the bar or litigants think. She also has favorites among the bar and demonstrates her favoritism.
