I waited until it seemed unlikely I'd be in front of this judge again to rate him here. The only conclusion I can come to is either Haracz is biased, incompetent, and/or too cowardly to make the tough calls. We had an arduous custody case. Our sons were not functioning and I had been alienated from them shortly after I remarried. To try to turn things around for the boys I filed a motion for a GAL. Haracz agreed to a child rep and made HIS appointmeent. Similarly, Haracz appointed the custody evaluator. Things were so bad and obvious to Haracz' own appointed Child Rep that this professional was compelled to file his own suit to grant me sole custody. In his statement he describe what has been happening as child abuse. The court appointed custody evaluator testified twice each time pleading with the court to immediately transfer custody for the boy's well-being. Remarkably, Haracz defied both his appointee's recommendations (both were seasoned pros who spent dozens of hours with the family). The last time Haracz was up for re-appointment I was contacted by the Chicago Bar's investigator. After talking for almost an hour, the investigator offered that there was indeed evidence that Haracz has bias in favor of female litigants. Unfortunately the predictions of the custody evaluator and the child rep came true. Our son is now a young adult who still is not functioning.

This judge is bias. He chooses who he dislikes and goes with it.

He is knowledgeable and charismatic, but is completely biased in favor of females. The standard in his court is not fairness, equal treatment, application of the laws, or the best interests of the children, but rather whether you've complied with giving the female what she wants and demands. i.e. if you a female client Judge Haracz will be favorable, and if you have a male client immediately request a substitution of Judges
