Definite temperament issues and have seen him be particularly rude to people from outside the U.S. (Africa) - including making ebola jokes while on the bench. Injected himself into pretrial agreement to disadvantage of defendant. Has some intelligence, but other issues renders it meaningless.

This judge is not only rude and disrespectful, but also clearly biased against people of color. I am a white 59 year old woman who was in the courtroom on behalf of my son who was in custody. This judge was an hour late. After handling numerous cases, asked why I was there and gave my son's name. Prosecutors said they had the case. I asked if I might speak to provide additional information and this judge says, "no you cannot speak; this is a court room, not a bar room." I was astonished, as this rudeness was not warranted. The prosecutor came over to speak to me and obtained the I formation I had regarding my son's attorney's appearance, and consulting with me several more times to obtain contact information. Her demeanor was apologetic because it was obvious the judge was off the rails.

this judge wouldn't allow me to speak or present evidence I had when my ex placed an unjust order of protection against me. when I was in the middle of explaining my point, he started to talk to his court clerk. Needless to say, there is a 2 year order of protection on me now, that may have been avoided had this judge listened to my objections and counter evidence I had!!! it pays to be a white man in this system, I guess...

He is the worst judge, by far, that I have ever been in front of. He is more busy with his sycophantic audience of lawyers than he is with distributing just sentences. It is criminal that this scumbag is a sitting judge.

Judge Karahalios is extremely biased against Spanish-speaking defendants. His sentencing offers are outrageous and his venom for defendants who are Spanish-speaking is abhorrent. He has stated in his courtroom that the hearings and trials of U.S. Citizens go before those of defendants needing interpreters. I guess Judge K believes that anyone that is not fluent in English is not a U.S. citizens! From where did his ancestors immigrate? Did they speak perfect English when they arrived in the U.S.?
