Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: IL940
Rating:2.3
Comments:
Judge Simko is, in my opinion, an incredibly biased and unprofessional judge. I have heard him say that the Illinois Supreme Court was wrong (when he failed to follow one of its rulings). Plaintiff's counsel rarely even need to argue before him, because he typically advocates on their behalf. This is not merely sour grapes; I have been before many judges who have ruled against me (Judge Gibson in DuPage County and Judge Hoffman in Lake County come to mind, as do Judge Walker and Judge Marino in Cook County) and I can say about each of them that they were fair, courteous, and thoughtful. Judge Simko exhibits none of these traits. His behavior on the bench is simply shameful.

Comments:
It is my opinion, and my opinion only, that Judge Simko fails to fails to apply the law as stated, and I feel acts outside of his discretion. His legal opinions on cases, only of which I have been before him on, are definitely laughable. It seems that he is completely pro-Bank.
